Abomination (meleee minions scaling) with Invigorated Dead

Invigorated Dead after 3 points allocation gets the conversion Minion Added Melee Physical → Minion Added Throwing Physical which brings the question how does the scaling works when looking at the tags of the Abomination skills:

Says it only scales with MELEE but when tested on dummy you benfit on MELEE ATTACKS and also on SKILLS, havent tested with the +Minion Spell Damage but can someone expain indepth how that conversion works in the backend?

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but as far as I can tell, it’s not a conversion at all.
They gain their melee bonus as throwing. They don’t lose the melee bonus. They just get both.

That node gives the minion additional flat physical throwing damage based on their flat physical melee damage. This flat phys throwing samage is used to calculate the damage that their throwing skills do.

That shouldn’t work, if it does get converted into flat minion throwing phys damage then it’s a bug.

This feels like a damage calculation question, have you read the in-game guide on it? It’s probably a good starter. But basically, all attacks & spells are skills. Melee, bow & throwing are a sub-set of attack.

Can you please tell me in which guide is written that minon physical throwing is added towrads the damage of a normal auto attack/skills? I cant find it, but thanks for the detailed info.

That’s a minion stat so it’s used to calculate minion damage, only player stats are used to calculate player damage. If a minion has a throwing attack then that attack will use any minion flat damage to calculate what damage the attack does. “Auto attacks” are merely attacks that don’t have a cooldown that the minion can use while it’s bigger attacks are on cooldown. You can see from the tags on the skills you linked what they scale with (physical & melee) & because those skills are used by minions they’ll use minion modifiers in the damage calc.

I understand that, Player Stats and Minion Stats are separate and minions only benefit from the Minon prefix on affixes/passives, I just cant find the reference about the how Minion Throwing Damange (as a different type of damage) is added to the Minion Melee Attack (https://www.lastepochtools.com/minions/abomination tags not including Throwing) or the Double Strike/Stomp in comparison to this https://www.lastepochtools.com/skills/acid_flask where its stated that it benefits from Throwing, again thanks for reply.

That’s because it isn’t. The Invigorating Dread node gives a minion more flat phys throwing damage based on the amount of flat phys melee damage. Flat throwing damage only affects skills/procs with the throwing tag. This node is a way to buff your minions that have a throwing skill.

It’s probably only going to affect your Skellie Rogues with the Vile Flask node, unless there are other Acolyte minions with a throwing skill.
