I have 8 skeleton warriors and 5 skeleton mages
So all I need is press Abomination button untill they all would be consumed and most powerful Abomination would be summoned
But
For a some unknown and (no doubt) stupid reason this ‘channel’ could be stopped and some sort of Abomination would be summoned before all skeelys were consumed.
This abomination has way less power (for an obvious reason) even if I press button again and consume other skellys.
So I need to destroy it, summon all my skellys again and try to summon Abomination again.
Extremely bad designed skill.

Why this happens? Lag? What a deal to server for my skill channels? Fix your servers 1st, then put such strict rules for server verification.

Why this stupid design at all? Why I should continue pressing this button? There is no sence and it doesn’t consumes mana in the process - only to initial cast. Why not consume them ALL at once? At least with Shift or Ctrl holding

Have you tried putting in a bug report using the in-game bug report tool?
How it would fix points 2 and 3?
#3 is fair, I’d probably have some sort of icons around his icon (at the top of the screen for the number of minions he’s absorbed, not too big but easily visible.
#2 I’m not sure since that’s kinda part of the mechanic as to how many of what minions you use. Especially if there’s ways to auto-spawn the minions so you can have more absorbed than you “should” be able to have.

If you consume not all minions, then it will be way weaker, than can be, so what a sense to consume not all of current applicable minions?
Right - zero sense.
Because the “meta” use of the skill, and the designed play pattern are not the same.
lets say you are using “Decaying” abom, so it eventually will time out and die, its the heat of battle, you need his big body to suck up hits, so you channel for a tiny bit to bring him back, and worry about fixing it later.
Hence why there is a node where its no longer a channel and just sucks up 5 minions instead with a single press but does not suck up more.
The meta way to play abom is to do weird set ups that make it so the decaying version lives for several minutes, and or the non decay version.

That’s why I asked to add consuming with shift or ctrl or alt - to consume ALL applicable minions at once
IMO this must been done years ago
next, Age of Undeath passive is not weird or meta or whatever - this is passive, made by devs, not me created it and this is not exploit or cheat.
So that way WERE mentioned by devs: make undecaying abomination while you didn’t have too many skellys, or even 0
Why there is Devour node then? Because of bad designed skill, as I said earlier: it has no sense, while we have Engorgement, Epicurean and Death in the Family nodes.
Devs don’t give ETAs on fixes. At most you’ll get a “we’re working on it”.
I feel like there’s something wrong with your keyboard. I can see on the video that you immediately casted another Assemble Abomination right when the cooldown is over, as if the key was not being pressed down but repeatedly clicked. And what happened was that you summoned a brand new Abomination without absorbing any minions at all.
I have never had this problem with Assemble Abomination.

And my kb is fine, tested it many times, also changed hotkeys - same result all the time
this is most likely some kind of packets loss or weak server lag
I do not understand why such fragile skill has such strict verification, then
I never had similar problems: not in both POEs, neither in Diablo
And yes, the absorbed number DO matter: even if miss just 2 skellys (so absorb 8 instead of 10) mkes you Abomination hit up to 10 times weaker! Instead of 37k crits - just 4-5k
Well if its server lag there is nothing they can do to fix it? atleast not in any meaningful time lol.
if you have packet loss its on you and your IP to sort it out.
no it’s they should redesign skills to less fragile way
