A7 vs Monoliths

For the first time I did the story and then started Monoliths. Such a disappointment! The loot, mob density and difficulty in story (probably starting lvl50 zones) is so good, bosses (especially Majesa) is quite challenging. And then when you are done everything you get to do Monoliths where there are 10 mobs on whole map, drop couple items and pose no threat like you are walking starter zones. Its day and night difference.
The chat seemed to know that after (or before) Lagos you should go do Monoliths and then come back later, might avoid the disappointment, but there is no official notion that it should be the way.
I sure hope there is a way to scale the Monoliths up, because currently it feels like a drag to do them.

Edit: Looks like it gets better after few. I guess the 1st 2-3 were atrocious.

Out of interest, is this online or offline play?

Reason I ask is that with 0.9, I have personally noticed a difference in online vs offline wrt things like mob density etc. I am making a wild guess here in that density may be lower in online play because the devs might be seeing how it stresses the servers ? No proof of this, just a guess.

I havent started a new char in offline mode so I am not sure about any changes to difficulty as its hard to tell when you are using Lvl100 builds at high corruption… Overlevelling before going into monoliths can make it a little easier than intended but the game is generally too easy overall and the devs have confirmed that they will be looking at this when more things are completed.

This was in online play. I guess I was especially unlucky with the maps since I got the ones with less mobs, one was the severs one and one desert something.
Now when I have almost finished 1 timeline, it doesnt feel that bad. Its still worse than last act of story mob density (a bit) and loot wise (a lot), but its ok. I guess when the mods ramp up on several maps its starting to get ok.
My main complaint is that last act of story vs Monolith start seems completely unmatched and might need some tuning.

I keep seeing posts like these complaining about mob density, but I’d really like to see an example of these absent periods. I could potentially imagine it if I had no movement speed or a mobility skill, but most of the time I can kill a pack take a few steps and dash into the next one.
