When an undead hydra is rare, its snake infection debuff from its poison burst attack is always lethal. Even when battle is over and you drink all your potions, even with maxed poison resist, it is always lethal. This is at a mere 250 corruption.
A) Depends on the amount of Ward / Health regen you have. It’s not about having max poison resist so much as it is being able to heal through the damage. Potions help but passive Ward and HP regen (or active via emergency buttons) is better
B) Assumes you don’t have ailment cleanse. Most classes have multiple options for ailment cleanse in their skills. Get it, use it, then the snake infection debuff is gone, and you’re still alive.
There’s also the belt affix.

Dunno, never had this specific issue.
I think I would’ve realized it being the case.
To date none of my characters have run into a problem with the undead hydras, they can be a bit dangerous though depending on build.
