A question on Armour Shread and Decrepify

I know that Armour Shred was having issues for a while, but I’m curious if they’ve been ‘cured’ or not?

I assume you’re referring to when Armour was used as Physical Resistance in the game (with the Protections system), rather than the defensive mechanic it is now. You can find some information on Armour Shred in the Community Game Guide (which I’ve quoted below) as well being quite thoroughly discussed in this recent forum thread.

Armour Shred: Reduces armour by 100 per stack, has no limit to the number of stacks that can be applied, and can shred armour into negative values (provided enough stacks are applied). Each stack of armour shred lasts 4 seconds.

While the armor mitigation formula can’t be used to calculate negative armor values, one can use it to get the positive armour value to see what its’ reversed value would do. For example, if 700 armour mitigates 20% of damage, then having -700 armour (7 stacks of armour shred) would increase damage taken by 20%.

Resistance and Armour Shred Effectiveness: Increases the power of each stack of ailment applied to an enemy or player. The duration of these ailments remains unchanged at 4 seconds.

For example, normally 1 stack of armour shred reduces armour by 100. If you have 20% increased armour shred effect than each stack of armour shred would increase to 120 reduced armour.

Like all forms of shred, and moreso for armour shred (as there’s no limit), it all comes down to how many stacks you can apply of the debuff in the timeframe that the shred lasts (that being 4 seconds).

Though, I personally can’t speak to its effectiveness with the skill you’re asking about.
