A newbie suggestion

Hello Elevenhour Game
First of all, i love Last Epoch, best ARPG, looter game i ever play since Grim Dawn, and i would like to add somethings that in my opinion, can make the game better:
Gameplay:

  • Dummy system: allow players to test damage to their built, and can modify with various level (hp level from creep to boss, increase or decrease dummy’s resistance to elements)
  • Mana potion: some of us do not have a high mana regen to deal with waves of monster
  • Potion upgrade and customization: allow us to enhance or/and change the affect of mana and hp potions
  • More lore paper, and reward for finding each of them (xp or gold): for player like me who want to know your world better
  • Unlock the middle slot for Idol: reserve for a special, unique idol with special skill, or passive bonus, which can be enchance with the right combination of idol that you equip

Story:

  • Add more timelines, suggestion: Age of invention, an age after the Imperial age, with steampunk/victorian style, maybe delve story of this timeline on the battle between science/industrial and nature
  • Add more region/continents, suggestion: a new continent with chinesse/japan style (since the game has katana and odachi weapon)

Play mode:

  • A rift style random instance, happen on the normal map, suggestion: call it the void rift
  • A new faction that give out bounty quest, hunt down dangerous enemies on all timeline

More class:

  • Inventor class: come with the age of invention, 3 mastery: mechanic (summon machine to fight), Heavy duty (create tools) to fight, Gunmake (use new form of gun fill with magic to fight)
  • Monk class: comes with new continents, 3 masteries Fistgod (strength and magic built), zen master (magic built), Warmaster (more of a dextery built)

Don’t hold your breath. Mana costs are how abilities are balanced. If you’re blowing through your mana pool with no way to recover it except regen, that’s a problem with your build that you need to fix.

There are alot of discussions and suggestions about tooltip dps, dps meter and a better dummy system.

What you suggest is exactly what I would also like to see, just a bit more.

I suggested on multiple of these threads that I would love to see different dummies with different amounts of HP, so you can see your sustained dmg and burst damage.

I don’t think this will ever come. There are already plenty of ways to deal with mana management. There even is a experimental Belt Affix that actually gives you mana on potion use and mana regeneration for a few seconds after using a potion.

But generally you are expecetd to deal with your mana issues through the various systems (Mainly Affixes, Passives and Skill Spec Trees).

There are many builds and skilsl that are not meant to be spammed and you will run into mana issues. You can counteract that to a certai nextent but you will never reach a point where you can spam certain skills without ever having mana issues.

Same point as above, I think EHG experimented (no pun intended) with the relatively recently added experimental affixes. There are a few potion affixes.

I doubt a full customizeable potion system would ever come. Maybe they add a couple more uniques that interact with potions.

Interestign idea, as long as the slot stays locked for regular idols I am not against it.

FYI the current Idol Slot Setup was specifically made in this way with a blocking slots in hte middle to avoid equipped the same 4 slots idols 4 times. The idol meta was very stale back then, before the did this change. (Idol inventory was 4x4 square back then)

The devs already said that Circle of Fortune and Merchant Guild are only the beginning. They might add more factiosn in the future, that are not mutally exclusive like MG and CoF.
I can defintiely see somethign like repeatable quests or bounties. Maybe certain factions have priorities in different timelines or vs different mob types.

The devs already said they are very open for new classes and masteries, but it will take a long time before they get added.

New masteries for the existing base classes are much more likely to happen before an entire new class though. (Because of Models, Animations, Voice Acting, Rigging etc)

well, not my problem, but some of my friends do have it, my sentinel char just blow through the map with no regard for mana pool
