A list of suggested minor improvements for the game

So there are definitely bugs and network issues, but this list is almost entirely a list of suggestions of things I think would be positive for the game separate of those issues.

Gameplay

  • Holding your move and attack should attack anything your mouse is over

    • Attack and move seems to transition to just move after a second of moving, causing needing re-clicking
  • Please fix the click boxes

    • everybody who uses attack and move will be familiar with stuff like Lagon’s click box, but there are many many enemies that have the same issues to lesser degrees, or the opposite issue where their click box is far smaller than their model, making it either difficult to move or difficult to attack without holding shift

Quality of life

  • HUD Scale and opacity sliders

    • Ideally per HUD element
  • All bindings should be changeable

    • besides the right click bug, compare and more info are 2 examples of bindings that can’t be changed
  • Let us pause online when not in a hub or party

  • Sort button should group identical and like items

    • right now it seems to only go for space efficiency
  • Option to have items enter inventories horizontally instead of vertically

  • The ability to lock items or slots so they are unaffected by the sort button

  • Allow global rarity recoloring

    • you can recolor rarities on the ground, but in inventory they’re the same color
  • Color wheel for recolors

    • there is a lot of overlap and similarities in the recolor colors. a color wheel would be ideal
  • Lock cursor to game window should do as it says, but unlock when you’re in a menu like other games do

  • A bag for keys like how we have an inventory for crafting materials

  • Toggleable option to show how many shards of any affix you have on gear you hover over

    • maybe when holding the more info binding
  • Let us see flat damage of skills, not just DPS

  • Let us see the damage make-up of each skill

    • ex: how much is physical, how much is void
  • Also let us see every stat that contributes to it, a breakdown

    • ex: 100 damage added from X% physical damage, 10 added from flat physical melee, 3 from flat lightning damage, etc…
  • A detailed death screen saying how much damage you took over the last 3 seconds, from what sources, and how much it was mitigated by your resistances

  • Option to disable rules in loot filters for easy toggling when you need to change something up temporarily

  • When a piece of gear adds a skill passive point, whatever you spend that specific point into is saved in the game, so when you unequip it those specific points are taken out

    • right now from what I’ve seen it just takes points out of the skill passive that has the most points in it, requiring a respec if you swap gear
  • On top of the above: Skill passives that have points due to gear should have some indication of that

    • like how borderlands does the green numbers for the same type of concept
  • Disabled chat sections (ie: public) stay turned off even when you relaunch the game

It kinda does, but you need to have started holding the RMB on a mob to begin with, then you can move your mouse to another mob & you’ll start attacking that one as well.

They’re working on a revised character screen that will show this but it keeps on getting pushed back for higher priority items (like the Rogue, the other 2 masteries/“release” & MP).

No, there’s an algorithm in place to prevent people using the item with +skills as a free/easy respec.

There kinda is, in the top left of the skill specialisation screen it says both the current level & level-excluding-items which is about as close to the Borderlands example as you could get I think.

There is a small tick box next to each rule you can use to enable/disable each one individually.

This is specifically for click to move and attack. my rmb is different than my lmb, i just don’t want to have to use shift so much

I don’t understand this one. I spose it’s a few point respec, that doesn’t seem very significant, but even if the devs think it is, some system at all that makes it so you don’t have to respec just to change gear seems important. Maybe you could designate the next “X” skill passives that gear will always add to? and you have to respec to change that? I just want to solve the gear change respec necessity here

Not sure if you’re exclaiming that you were blind or complaining that you are blind, so:

Yes, it would be very practical. Also, colors aren’t coherent in the filter screen. Purple is displayed blue, for example.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask them to work on that. Not sure precisely how, though.
