This game has been awesome for me, and I am excited for it’s future. 120 hours in and altaholicing 8 characters, there a few things about the UI I would personally implement and feel many players would appreciate.
-
The ability to change damage numbers colors. An example would be a little menu that lets you for example differentiate damage you deal with a separate color from damage that your character takes, or the ability to color damage numbers you deal to know what element of attack you are performing, like orange-red for fire.
-
Better visual representation for buff passives and skill tree nodes. Not every node that gives global damage increases as a general example is shown unless you open your character menu to check if your numbers are changing there. To reduce screen clutter, possibly add something that pulls out to see what kinds of buffs and debuffs your character is affected by when moused over, with an option to always have personally selected buffs/debuffs always shown above the action bar.
-
To add to the above suggestion, the new Rogue class has a cool passive called Flow, but I find that Flow and nodes that work similar to it are hard to keep track of when you always have to check if your 4th move is the next one in the queue. For nodes that add effects similar to this, perhaps a small number next to your character’s health bar to avoid eyes darting from the action to the bar?
These are just some things I think would really be some awesome quality of life updates to the UI. I appreciate and love how clean the UI in the current state of the game is, and I realize some of these suggestions may threaten that, but I also feel these would be some useful tools to have even if they were optional and toggleable.
Keep up the awesome work! I can’t wait to see more of this game
