A few item filter related QOL suggestions

As the title suggests, it’s a few QOL suggestions centered around the loot filter. Wherever possible, I’ve added mock images under the spoiler tag. UI/UX mockup related changes made are highlighted in red.

  1. Show rare affixes in filters :

Problem : The game tells us that there are indeed some rare affixes. When we see rare affix shards lying on the ground. The issue is that the player is unable to see the rare affix shards in the loot filter menu and they’re also not able to distinguish the rare affix shards when they take a look at the mods of the weapon.

Solution : When the player customises the loot filter (selects the affixes in the affixes section), there could be a checkbox which shows which affixes are rare or the rarity of affixes.

  1. Highlight filtered items in inventory :

Problem : When a player picks an item up, they’re unable to figure out why they’ve picked the said item. The current recourse for the player is to drop the item and see which category it fits into. Fortunately the player can color code the items and they can add labels to the filter but if there are multiple rules, the player has to open the filter just to see which rule the color belongs to.

Solution : For a few filtered items highlighted with colors, a checkbox in the filter visibility section could be added to show add an highlight accent to items which are filtered. The said items would be highlighted/marked in the inventory as well as the stash.

Note : Apologies if this was posted earlier. I tried to search for it but I couldn’t find anything related to this topic.

I don’t know what the game considers rare affixes (the ones that turn red), but pretty much all class specific affixes are rare. Even with a filter rule to find them and shatter them, I rarely have more than 20 of any of them, even after a hundreds of hours in legacy.
And any affix that isn’t class specific is common.

What I would like is a rule where I can say “Affix shard count < 50” or something like that. Where it would check if I have more than X of that affix shard and highlight it when I don’t.

I believe there are also weapon affixes like increased area or penetration related affixes.

That’s also a great suggestion. It makes sense if one wants to stock up on affixes so they can roll grind affixes with one character and when they have enough, they can start a new character.
