A Build Testing Realm with Blueprint Respec System

Players in Last Epoch often spend large amounts of gold respecing skills and passive points, only to discover that their new build doesn’t perform the way they hoped. This trial-and-error approach can be frustrating, expensive, and time-consuming — especially for newer players or those trying out more complex combinations.

The Idea: The Testing Realm Introduce a special feature called the Testing Realm, which would allow players to experiment with their builds freely in a controlled environment before committing their points.

How It Works:

Accessible via Portal – A new portal option at major waypoints or in the End of Time hub would allow entry into the Testing Realm.

Reset Room – Inside the realm, there would be a “Reset Room” where players could respec their passive and skill points freely — no gold cost and no permanence while inside.

Test Room – Next to the Reset Room would be a battlefield simulation area where players can:

Choose enemy levels (e.g. 10, 20, 40, 60, 100, etc.)

Choose enemy types (trash mobs, elite packs, random boss encounters, etc.)

Test damage, survivability, minion AI, skill synergy, etc.

Blueprint System – Once the player finds a build they like, they can walk over to a “Blueprint Keeper” NPC and save the build as a blueprint.

Blueprint includes passive points, skills, and skill trees.

Blueprint does NOT apply anything yet — it just saves the idea.

Commit System – Back in the normal game world, players can go to the respec NPCs and load a saved blueprint.

The game applies the blueprint to the character.

The cost is *slightly more* than manually doing it yourself, for balance.

Why It’s Great: - Saves gold on failed experiments - Encourages players to try new builds - Gives clarity on whether a build is fun before committing - Useful for both hardcore players and casuals - Could be a great tool for theorycrafters

Optional Extras: - Allow sharing blueprints with friends or online - Seasonal or special Testing Realm variations

I once suggested something similar to this, where the arena zone with the dummies would be a free respec zone, even letting you respec your class. And when you leave it you go back to your current build.
It could even be available in the menu before you created a single character.

I pitched it to Mike on his stream, but he didn’t like the idea.

That could be nice, yeah.
But… feels like it’s so extremely niche, something that a very slim % of players would use.
So, I don’t think they should be wasting time and resources for something that those very few players can already do in Offline mode with mods. Anyone can edit and test their characters however they like there.

Didn’t they say they don’t want to add loadouts to the game?
This was one of my biggest concerns when they allowed respecs: it would soon lead to them adding a loadout system…

Eh… I’m sorry but a tool like that does not seem fit for newer players. Only the more hardcore theorycrafters would see any use to that.

Yes, but they also seemed moderately favourably disposed to having a blueprint to assign points automatically from a guide or something. Not quite what’s being asked for here, I know.
