Saw the teaser on Youtube but don’t see anything here. Is there going to be a write-up?
Looks like something to do with Rahyeh.
Maybe hints at Forge Guard rework?

Looks like the story moving forward to get Rahyeh to bless the trident.
Could also be the rework of early acts they were talking about? and these replace the early Rahyeh soldier enemies.
Hope they keep up on the bugs with 0.9 at the same time.
All I know is that the video looks way cooler than the game. I hope this is a visual overhaul. The production value on that thing was through the roof.
Yeah, that video reminds me of the Diablo videos, which were way better than the in-game visuals.
For those who don’t know where to find the video:
Unfortunately doesn’t explain anything. Just a few cutscenes and the version number.
Best guess I have seen so far is a new dungeon.
Fire. Can it be the Warlock release as well as Chapter 10?
Oh God I hope it’s Shaman rework instead. This dead class needs all the help it can get.
No, the other masteries are coming with 1.0.
Oh yeah you’re right. I forgot about that.
Nice teaser.
Unfortunately it doesn’t say anything about when will:
-All movement skills stop causing rubberbanding
-Lagon getting fixed after 4 years of early access. PS. No he is not the only one that needs help.
-Dying after map transition in Arbor
-Safely skipping the walls in Sanctum with movement abilities. (Ignoring the mechanic of the dungeon completely)
-Uncomfortable multiplayer experience after few hours due to their game getting severely out of sync. (Otherwise I’ve read they were proud of the multiplayer, which is really concerning for the year of 2023)
Yes do that, nice trailer tho.
Oh, advertising material doesn’t talk about bugs? You’re right! That is odd. Most other trailers do! I’m pretty sure film trailers regularly mention plot inconsistencies and then there were all of those VW car adverts that mentioned the (illegal, but anyway) software that they had to make their cars appear more environmentally friendly.
Thumbs up. It is concerning, it has been a thing since the early 2000s. When trailers for games started to become more and more polished. Presentation on point, execution in reality, ugh.
Ending on a positive note, its not about being able to fix/make/balance but more about accurate presentation.
Praising must come always with a big spoon of salt - valid for most of the games. Nobody expects a flawless product, but at this point the fans of the ARPG community do expect to not have critical problems in a game. Balance is void, since on an average scale the game is at the category of easy. Rightfully so since its not finished.
The whole game is in EA/Beta and they specifically advertised the Multiplayer as Beta as well.
Does it suck that there are bugs and things that degrade your fun in playing the game? Yes it does.
Do the devs are aware of it and are working on it? Yes.
A lot of these bugs are also not happening across the board for everyone, so while you might had experiences that you would consider “critical” I personally never had any “critical” issues in my time playing 0.9.
It is a shame that a lot of these issues arose newly with patch 0.9, while there were not present in 0.85, because of the transition to a server authoritative environment.
Patch 0.9 does not feel like a pure “upgrade” in all regards, as many new and cool things there are there are a lot of things that feel like sidegrades or downgrades. That sucks.
But if you cannot cope with playing a game that is not even release yet and has issues, next time you might wanna think twice about participating in such a game.
There are a lot of people here who would have preferred they not have done multiplayer (seemed like they caved to crying people that would just complain regardless). Many would have preferred more content instead of MP.
Most people with any sense understood that MP would bring massive amounts of bugs.
I’m playing the game for quite some time, I can agree and disagree with majority of what people are saying and understand why. While I have nothing against multiplayer (In fact it would bring a steady community with Seasonal content), I do despise it for that exact thing. Being rushed, and just not pleasant - at times. Surely it will be fixed steadily, I’m a believer that you shouldn’t treat your users/consumers as testers, especially if they pay. How common that is in modern gaming is a long topic. But in general, yes. Single player was solid. With minor gripes not worth mentioning, to this mess.
What equivalent method would you propose companies use to test their multiplayer systems at scale and on an equivalent variety of hardware, software and network configurations?
