To be honest, I think this amount of updates is pretty much on par with Diablo 4’s transitional seasons. I have absolutely no idea what the dev team has been doing for the past half a year or so. I just hope the DLC will bring something big.
I will never not stop trying to get a good bee build running. I want my honey-bear, and my void bees!
The set isn’t the way, unfortunately. The idols are, but they are so rare it’s almost impossible to get (both the corrupted ones and the normal).
I dont think its bad that each class has their own skills. But this “there is only so much space for each in each mastery” sooner or later will spell the end of this game if not already.
one of the complaints I get from friends towards last epoch is “not enough skills, to many are weak or boring”
so if the game is going to cap at 5 per mastery forever… then I dont think there will be “infinite builds to explore” they need to add new skills at some point even if they are just still locked to whatever class gets them
Yeah, I think that’s fair. I think it would help if skills were more balanced but that would “just” be kicking the can down the road & not solving the more-limited-numbers-of-skills-per-mastery issue.
There is no reason why masteries won’t be able to get more skils in the future. There are many ways to achieve this.
There’s the most obvious way of just adding a skill every 5 points (or whatever), which would be a buttload of them to choose from.
There’s the option of having “alternate” masteries, which would fit LE theme very well, where each mastery has different skills. And this can be iterated indefinitely.
Lastly, there’s also what will likely happen first, which is adding new masteries which will come with their own new 5 skills, 2-3 of which will belong in the common pool.
The skill variety issue is simply one of time. They need time to add them. Much like PoE did add a lot of skills over the years.
https://www.lastepochtools.com/builds/filter/language=en this is a pretty good indication as well, isn’t it? 0.7% using black hole and 0.3% found for disintergrate. That’s out of over 1000 chars listed, lol. This is where that 1000 isn’t a good representation of the current 13k online this morning when I checked either, lol.
I’ve noticed because I say it a lot “No ones using” “not many use” whenever this is sad you always seem to leap to defense like it’s an attack on you? It’s literally just someone elses opinion.
You also told the guy previously corruption on that ladder starts at 670 or something which you make sound very high then a few posts later you tell everyone you can make any single build there is do 200c because it’s VERY LOW. So you’re saying the jump from very low to very high is a mere 470c? Crazy discussion happening right here.
That is a terrible representation. The site you linked is not even “chars”, that is BUILDS. So actual builds that have a forum post, yt video or were manually created.
Also we talked about it already that the current players isn’t a good number to comapre anythign against, since it doesn’t say how many people play LE in total.
Yes it is their opinion and that is valid and stands. But it is also how people frame their statements and I can’t stand people doing wild claims or throwing numbers around out of context.
I never even claimed that Black Hole nor Disintegrate are crazy popular or in a super good spot, but Black Hole definitely got some love this patch and it is a really good skill with different possible applications.
You just completely contradicted yourself and proved my point. Lol
Because yes the range from 200c and 670 is significant and it is a range that has several important thresholds in it that many people don’t even cross.
200c can’t even do all content in the game, while 670 is already way higher than the maximum you need for anything the game has to offer right now. So yes that jump is crazy.
1200 and some change people this season put on 3 pieces of bee gear - lets take that 1200 out of 43,000 since you like the numbers
670 is pretty mid this season 28% people playing rogues that can do over 1000 by level 90, lol. Sentinels - judgement pally aura be running about the same with the primodial stick, warpath and es, well they’re always up around the 500-1000 mark. No idea about casters though
You were the one who said 200 is so low that you can put on any gear in the game and make a build work so really the jump doesnt seem that much. Especially with the bugs and things going on this season, lol.
670 is more than the vast vast majority of players will ever reach. You comparing it to the absolute top players and builds. It doesn’t matter how good or high these type of players and builds can go, when the matter of the discussion specifically was some of the not so meta stuff.
Yes and I still stand by that, but that doesn’t make the jump from 200 to 670 “small”.
From 200 corruption to 670 corruption is a 4,11x increase in Health and Damage (half of that for Damage over Time).
That is a huge jump, so much so that some of these off meta hipster builds have a really hard time scaling to keep up with that scaling.
200c to 600c isn’t that significant. It’s maybe a pair of t7 affixes tops. Also, I wouldn’t know what corruption the majority of casuals achieve since the majority of casuals don’t use chat either.
The numbers were on the cards that Mike had at dev chat bro, also posted to their insta - the 43k or whatever is on steamdb but the 1200ish are people wearing the bee kit - ps 670 is pretty tough I just felt like a bit of fun today
Well - not inc rogues, wasn’t kidding about multiple builds having 10-12k ward on top of 1000s of corr and super quick ubers, absolutely bonkers
It’s a good season. The corruption mechanic is pretty sticky. The game feels a lot more polished. Lots of minor UI improvements. Is 8 months too long between seasons? Yes, don’t turn into D3 with the long seasons please.
AFAWK, they could have most the team working on LE 2. Who the F knows?
It is all about perspective. Subjectively any kind of jump from A to B might not be significant for an individual player or build.
But the jump from 200 to 600 is more significant than any other 400c jump that will occur in even higher corruption.
And within that 200 to 600c there is literally almost all the game has to offer in it. Basically all the major thresholds except one are within that frame.
What a given character or builds needs to go from 200c to 600c also varies a lot by the given character or build. The matter of discussion specifically were some of the lesser used and unpopular skills, which often have a harder time scaling than the meta skills.
So no, 200 to 600 c is significant, especially for the context of the discussion it was about.
I wasn’t aware of the statistics they posted since I do not use social media.
I just checked it and the Bee Set was not really the main portion of discussion anyway.
But also that statistic doesn’t say everything. It doesn’t talk about if Reforged Set items counted, it doesn’t include people using Legends Entwined Primordial Ring. (Because they would only use 2 pieces and the statistic onyl counted people wearing all 3 pieces)
My comment about the bee set initially in this discussion was, that a lot of people talked about it and were pretty excited. I also saw a lot of people using it (At least in my communities).
It might be that it turned out to be cool and new and exciting but towards the higher levels it fell of and people moved away from it, I don’t know. The statistic doesn’t say anythign about that.
I saw tons of people use and talk about both the Bee Set and Black Hole.
Well teeeeeechnically you said “tons of people use and talk about the bee set and black hole” which is kinda funny cos you asked bro what his metric was for determining this “nobody” and then you just jumped in with your own metric for “tons of people” lol
What I can tell you from global chat and the many maaaaaany hours I’ve been playing is that bee is still mostly a meme but fun
