8.21 bug: movement stutters with controller + warpath + "broken ground" textures

Using a steam controller on windows, and a sentinel build with warpath active, some ground textures can cause the character’s movement to stutter and stop. The textures might be described as “broken ground”, i.e. the floating stone paths in “End of Time”, the cracked stone floors in some of the “ruined era” maps, and the “wood mulch” texture in the arena forest map. I’ve even seen it when certain monsters drop metal rings as parts of their corpses.

This is not 100% repeatable, but does happen regularly.

The problem goes away when the mouse is used.

8.3 is coming out soon with better controller support, so I may be late to the party here.

[edit] I’ve managed to reproduce this several times. The problem also occurs at the raised map travel clock circles, so maybe changes in surface level are a factor?
