24hr downtime, saying that you're making servers ready for launch, and results

It happened in Lost Ark, this game will receive massive negative feedback and player drops, though I don’t think devs are give a f about this cuz they already made some good amount of money

“Due to extreme load, this is temporarily being shown to everyone as a logged out user would see it.”

what does that mean?

They might as well have said 48h server downtime and delayed release to 22nd February, absolute disaster.

The worst thing is - it won’t end tomorrow or day after tomorrow. I am ready to do the bet, it is not just a “scaling resources” issue and we will see lags, long load screens, infinity login, desync between player and servers during play and everything else - for long time.
I assume some memory leak in one of the processes which wasn’t visible until large amount of players connected or even some architecture issue with multiplayer.

Bro I’ve seen monsters clip under the terrain literally their entire body is in the ground with their heads popping out how does this happen on an apparently “finished” game? I’d laugh if it wasn’t so tragic…

Ah the devs do care for this game but as many other devs they do not understand what the release of a new game actually means and how many people are actually playing games nowadays. They still think a new release is like a Diablo 1 where only a few people know/care for it and we are still in 1990. They are good devs overall though just made a mistake

they actually knew that the playerbase will be something like this. 1 million copy sold wtf u expect?
