Hi, I have just had Ambitions of an Erased Acolyte drop for me, with weavers will.
I’ve done a search and can’t find anywhere what +1 to level of acolyte skills means. I have plus to my skele mages and plus to my zombies and understand those perfectly. When I check my character sheet all my minions skills drop when I equip this item as does it on the damage window.
What skill exactly does +1 to acolyte skills do and is it of any use to a full necromancer minion build?
Means you can allocate 1 more point in to all acolyte skills you have selected (so the 5 in top-bar).
Your base class is acolythe and you will always be an Acolythe who mastered a certain way. In short it’s just +1 to all skills an Acolythe can pick and it increases your skill points from 20 max to 21. Keep in mind tho if you unequip a +1 skills items you lose the bonus +1 to all skills.
It gives you an extra point to spend on all Acolyte skills you have specced into. Hence you can get them to level 21 instead of 20.
However if the relic you replaced in order to wear this had Minion damage or whatever on it, then you will indeed see those stats drop by equipping the new relic.

It should be noted that +1 to Acolyte skills give +1 to ALL skills, even those in the Warlock/Lich/Necro tree.
What are masteries of an Acolyhte. 
Yes, but it could be confused with just the skils that unlock on the Acolyte passive tree. I was just pointing it out in case the OP missed that.
I just make fun of EHG who always tell masteries are the classes when you first pick your class and them astery later on ^^. While those relics are class bound they could’ve called the stat +1 all talents and be good ^^.
