+1 Skelly prefix should give +2/3 at T6/7

I have made a build around the Aaron’s Will chest piece, and running around with 4 golems is a lot of fun!

What’s not fun though, is that you have to use 2 Hollow Fingers to reach the 12 skeleton cap. The rings are not great to say the least, as they are early game uniques with lich-focused low stats. The only useable stat on them, for a necromancer, is the +1 skeleton. Sure, you can make them legendary, but there are other unique rings I would love to use instead; Ribbons of Blood would be perfect with my build.

The +1 skeleton affix is already very hard to get, and getting a T6/7 variant is even harder. You would then need to find an Aaron’s Will with LP, which is also very hard. You then need to smash them together, which usually ends in tears.

I feel the amount of power is justified by the amount of work is needed to acquire it.

Hey Gung! Im currently working on a similar build. Noting the way Aaron’s Will works, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to utilize it as you pointed out, the gear requirement is pretty taxing.

I’d like to ask if you use the Golem node that makes 2? Think that the damage trade off is worth? Thanks!

My thinking is if I take that node, I can get 3 golems, free up my ring slots, and perhaps get more out of the build. No details yet as Im at work, but I’d love to theorycraft a bit if you’re interested!

I don’t use that golem node, -45% damage is a huge chunk of damage to loose. You do need a +1 skeleton on your gear somewhere to get to the 8 skeletons needed to hit 3 golems, so keeping 1 ring for now might be best until you can slam a +1 on the chest.

My golems are primarily used for tanking aggro and feeding my/them life constantly. I’m not too concerned about their damage, but you’ve made me think things over again lol.

Skills? I’m using Golem/Sk Mages/Wraith/Life Drain/Flex Currently using Skeletons til I find a A Will. Not sure after that.

So you want a + skillss node changed to suite your build? Do I understand this right? I’m all against changing basic game systems just to make builds that need investment any less taxing on the player. There is a certain balancing behind all this and it’s hard to argue the topic without Dev input.

I think a higher skeleton ammount with T6/T7 would be to powerfull because you get 2 extra minions while you can invest a lot in their damage and tankieness. If you look at it in the isolated case of a badly design unique item like Aaron’s Will it’s a pleasent idea but every skeleton focused build needs to be rebalanced because all of the sudden there can be even 2 more skeletons.

So when I look at the big picture and how happy skeleton necros would be about this change and most likely are already drooling over it I’m against the additional power for a rather laid back build and style that’s already realy realy strong.

Now if only I could get an Aaron’s to drop…

No, I simply just want the T6/7 tiers on the affix to provide some use, like all other affixes do. Right now it just gives some additive skeleton damage.
