Do you think this is an obvious answer? Depending on the game it can be better to just wait or it could be better to restart.

getting LE-61 error EU-West @23:50 currently perma stuck in the keepers camp area unable to go anywhere or do anything.

10min+ stuck in a loading screen leads nowhere 99% of the time it means youā€™ve triggered an error

I have been in situations where this is not the case. When thereā€™s a chance it could eventually go through it can be better than leaving and trying to log in again can have more roadblocks.

I am not sure which one is more infuriating: the never-ending ā€œCONNECTINGā€ screen or the ā€œONLINE PLAY UNAVAILABLEā€ one.
