Ohh my goddess, i love this build!
Literaly “chilling” gameplay, i went everytime for lightning crit sorc, but this is amazing and so satisfying to watch enemies just stand there and look on you while dying
Still missing relic and unq idol (but i have 2 rings at least) and the build just rocks… well ehm, chills.
how goddamn rare is this idol… thought i’ll start farming it with the new sorc because he’s really low. so far i have 8 normal argentus (and 5 empowered on my pala) done and got nothing. even the wings of argentus already dropped.
not sure if i really wanna try to farm further. relic and gloves are also targeted rare and the ring too
Since I don’t have one of those gloves… how many times should I expect to have to kill Formy to get them? I’m at 7 times and counting, still nothing. Are they more likely to drop on Empowered monos? Anything I can do to improve my chances? And how necessary are they for regular monos? I get that they will massively increase… well… pretty much everything to do with this build… but can it wait till I’m doing empowered monos? I’m getting really tired of doing this mono…
Getting tempted to jump on one of my lvl 100 chars and just farm it that way…
welcome to my world. same Problem with the idol for me and i havent started to farm the other 3 pieces. they all can drop from normal monos but all 3 are flagged rare. so far im at 1 normal lich, 6 normal argentus and 9 empowered argentus without the drop. my pala went from 96 to 99 while grinding the empowered mono.
im really unsure if empowered helps with the droprate. a) they take much more stability to fill up and therefore i can do less bosses in the same time and b) there is one more possible unique drop in the drop table.
As far as I know the empowered only uniques are additional drops and do not block the normal ones. Higher rarity will increase the chance for the gloves.
At around 300 corruption I get them regularly but I can also kill the boss more often since I already get 50 stability for the first echo.
I assume you can play the build without the gloves first but haven’t tried it. You should maybe have at least life leech and some of the frostbite prefixes on helmet/chest.
hm that would be nice. at least i got the idol now in kill nr 16 and found a bug, that unique idols arent shown by the rule to always show uniques. i just really hope i didnt miss any idol in the previous runs because i was too exhausted to see the beam.
the build works fine on normal monos so far, even without the unique parts (but im running mourning frost and frozen ire for the sweet sweet freeze rate multi) but im also only on lvl 75 monos, now going my way forward to the relic.
Well, I’ve run the normal monos like… 10 or 11 times now, and kind of just want to move on to other ones. I’ll come back to it. I do have spell leech, and a decent Frostbite chance. I’ll come back to it in empowered, maybe. Just need a break from running this mono, even if it does go super fast.
some commentary from me:
it took me 16 tries on argentus for throne of ambition and goddamn 21 tries until i had the gloves. they are absolute great and should be target farmed first.
Oceareon just dropped recently but since i entered empowered monos short before, i really feel a difference before and after.
still miss a good frostbite on hit blessing and the freeze multi blessing. and the better spelldmg leech.
stuff i changed: stayed with ball lightning node in static orb (-22 mana) so i didnt need to get mana reg on my gear. didnt take afterglow yet, because i usually cast ice barrage after teleporting and as free cast it wont trigger afterglow.
also took elemental damage + cold dmg on the wand instead of spell and cold. ele dmg has a lower value compared to spell but should apply to frostbite too.
very fun build, but i dont think i would start with that again. its just frustrating if you dont get the uniques and feel hardstuck. especially oceareon was a difference between day and night on empowered monos
Hi, great build there. One thing though. On the dummy, the frozen ire nova hit damages the dummy as well so I am pretty sure the target will also be affected by the freeze. Tested by using snap freeze (with +on hit damage) and sometimes there are 2 procs of hugh damage. This makes frozen ire with its high 80 base freeze rate one of the best staff to freeze enemies
