Zeckar — Today at 8:49 AM If you check Event Viewer on Windows and go to Windows Logs -> Application and look for Errors where LastEpoch.exe is the app, tell me what the faulting module is then, if it's the same issue I had I can help RedneckHedgehog — Today at 8:53 AM If I'm doing this right, I believe what you're asking for is "ati64dxx.dll". If I look back through the error log, the same error comes up every time LE has failed to launch. Zeckar — Today at 8:53 AM ahhh so it is the same okay there are a few things to try so we can see if it works. This was an annoying issue I dealt with RedneckHedgehog — Today at 8:54 AM This is brand new with yesterday's patch. Zeckar — Today at 8:54 AM yeah yeah, no worries. Okay, I'm gonna assume you have an AMD gpu? RedneckHedgehog — Today at 8:54 AM RX 5700 because... yeah. Zeckar — Today at 8:55 AM haha yeah fun bug, okay. so in that same error you should see the module path open that up in file explorer then go to steam -> right-click LE -> Manage -> Browse local files RedneckHedgehog — Today at 8:56 AM Done, and done. Zeckar — Today at 8:56 AM in the module folder, search for the ati64dxx file RedneckHedgehog — Today at 8:57 AM OK Zeckar — Today at 8:57 AM drag it to the LE folder it should copy it over RedneckHedgehog — Today at 8:57 AM The LE folder with the LE executable? Zeckar — Today at 8:57 AM yes delete the executable then verify integrity of installed files it will fetch a new exe and then try launching RedneckHedgehog — Today at 8:58 AM Alright, it's verifying. Zeckar — Today at 8:59 AM I did a lot of stuff trying to fix this and I think this is the one that worked every time RedneckHedgehog — Today at 8:59 AM I didn't do any of this. But, somehow, the game did launch twice yesterday (out of about 40-50 attempts). Zeckar — Today at 8:59 AM only issue is you have to either just delete .exe and verify integrity again or do the whole process again after a successful launch RedneckHedgehog — Today at 8:59 AM 1 file failed to validate. 1 of 1 downloads complete. Zeckar — Today at 9:00 AM cool yeah try launching RedneckHedgehog — Today at 9:00 AM Fizzled out same as before. Same error log entry too. Zeckar — Today at 9:00 AM Hmmm do you have a .ini file in the le folder too? RedneckHedgehog — Today at 9:01 AM imgui.ini Zeckar — Today at 9:01 AM yeah try remove both .exe and that then verify RedneckHedgehog — Today at 9:02 AM The .dll file is still there, presumably untouched. I don't need to copy that back over, do I? Zeckar — Today at 9:02 AM nah just keep it there for now RedneckHedgehog — Today at 9:04 AM It got the .exe again, did not replace the .ini, but it launched. Zeckar — Today at 9:04 AM okayyyy might be an issue with the .ini file which probs gets created on launch and is casuing some conflict with amd GPUs Let me go report these steps to EHG and see if it helps them understand the issue you might have to repeat these on relaunch cause the issue comes back, from my experience RedneckHedgehog — Today at 9:05 AM I'm glad that my issue was similar enough to yours that they can get some meaningful feedback on what is going on.
