I think we both agree that not everything is/was great in POE.
I was pretty upset when GGG made Level 100 much harder to reach.
Every game will have stuff you like more than others. And some you even hate. Personally, I hated delve. However, since it wasn’t mandatory, I could live with it.
As for level 100, I never bothered chasing it. Way back in the day I chased 99 with a couple of characters in D2 and decided it wasn’t for me. There really isn’t that great a benefit for getting those last 5-10 levels.
my main is up to 95 and leveling hasn’t been hard at all. If I played more than a few hours a week I would easily be 100 already
Getting to 100 is easy in Last Epoch.
1 to 100 total XP required
Last Epoch = 332,527,329
Diablo 4 = 487,038,304
PoE = 4,250,334,444
As you can see, Last Epoch has the lowest total amount required, & unlike Path of Exile, you don’t lose XP when you die.
Getting to 100 takes a while, but unlike those other games, you don’t NEED to get 100 to do high level content. I would prefer a “Master Levels” system instead of harder 1-100.
This post is a no sense, no offense.
I’m not bothered by the slow leveling since nothing is level gated.
Leveling is not super advantageous or gated in most games, including this. Once you get to level 70ish, you can run start running emp mono’s already. A cycle/season typically lasts 3-4 months average for a game, hitting max level in 2-3 weeks, around 50-60 hours, is not too easy?
Majority of players have already experienced all game content way before reaching max level. More people are trying and playing new classes/builds rather than pushing for higher corrupt and/or have already quit “for now” but knocking on the game so hard is crazy, they did good with this, being a small indie company.
Yes, the game and company is still newborn so it might not succeed but to not even give it the credit they deserve for coming this far and getting to where it’s at now? cmon
You don’t know what PoE2 will bring but yes it does look very promising. But look at D4 and it being a multi billion dollar company, their game is crappier than this so idk what you expected.
D2R coming out with an expansion someday but it will be too late.
In poe you are not forced to get 100 because your passive tree is not linear and you can get to a certain passive in many ways. In LE if you don’t have enough passive points from levels, you won’t get to a certain passive no matter what you do. Yes it takes longer in poe to take level 100 but it is also nowhere near as important and it is pretty common for people, even in the end game, to stop somewhere around 95 because those last passives rarely matter.
Well, maybe you should make your own game if you don’t like what’s popular. Literally for LE to solve the loss in player base each cycle it would have to appeal to the majority and not you by definition.
Because I don’t like POE, I should what?
So I basically have to like what the masses like?
How idiotic can one argue?
Even if Mao’s like you don’t like it, I keep my own opinion and act accordingly.
Killah
If you are not intelligent enough to understand comparisons and why arguments that rely on personal preference are not productive then may I suggest refraining from sitting at the adult table?
same can be said for LE your build is online at lvl 75-80~ and won’t really change much from lets say, lvl90 to 100. Unless you prioritised a filler passive instead of a core one, which is not issue at all since you can easily respec.
