Played some D1 and D2, but most enjoyable games for me are Torchlight 1 and D3 .
2014, with Diablo 3.
I did not like Diablo 1 or Diablo 2. Not at all. I participated in the beta of Diablo 3 and I fell in love with it.
I really liked Van Helsing and Torchlight 2, but mostly the campaigns, not really endgames.
I could not finish the campaign of Path of Exile, too boring. Same with Grim Dawn.
I love Wolcen.
And I really do love Last Epoch. At a point where there are some things I stopped doing every day, just to have some more time to play.
That would be 90s - DIablo 1, of course. I was 14 back then and I will never forget that awe, when I discovered exactly how many item combinations there can be.
It was also the moment my item hoarding disorder came to light, lol. Since then every single looter game had me stashing every unique item I could find.
80’s upon Atari 2600 with Berzerk (1982), Wizard of Wor (1982 - on C64 too) and Dig Dug (1983).
(hopefully games like modern arpgs )
If that don’t count, then the 90’s with Diablo(/DOOM) for shure.
Been playing ARPGs since D1 but D2 is what really solidified it for me. I still play 1.09 and 1.13 single player to this day.
Diablo 1 and Diablo 1 EXP Hellfire were great. Diablo 2 LOD was my favorite. I did so many taco baal runs.
Wolcen has no depth is the issue. The community was nonexistent at launch.
…and PKs harassing you to the point that they actually BREAK your equipment beyond repair. My Naj’s Lightplate, still mad about it. TheRed, if you read this, fook you!
Eye of the Beholder xD
D1 on Playstation
D2 PC
where is Titan Quest??
That was D2 not Sacred 2.
I started with Diablo III. Have tried POE and Grim Dawn, but having a great time playing Last Epoch.
Yeah thought you were talking about D2.
70’s Advanced Dungeons and Dragons and the Dungeon Master’s guide written by the godfather himself Gygax
Nope, not even slightly… I like games that have a sense of humour & that can laugh at themselves. Life is so serious, it’s nice to have a bit of a break in a game from time to time (not all of them, all of the time, obviously, there’s room for games to take themselves seriously too).
