Okay. Just Maxroll’s Dps Tier list has S tier at 20mil + dps. A tier is 10-20 mil.
I would not use aspirational gear. 0.000001% of players will have that. I just feel lke we should go off what we actually see players do. Instead of an unrealistic hypothetical aka aspirational.
People will look at that list say hey that’s overpowered or I never thought of playing that but those numbers look good and try it then do 1/4 that damage. Just seems like totally unrealistic numbers for most of them.
Hope you don’t take that the wrong way. Just some feedback.
I still say anthing over 20 mil Dps is S tier. Most builds aren’t doing that.
Aspirational gear = Gear you will never ever come close to having. If you get 1 or even 2 aspiratonal items that’s a massive win in a build.
No, you’re totally right. I’m not really interested in the exact numbers, more the relative difference between them. Firstly I find the difference between the “endgame” and “aspirational” planners is mostly defense. It’s the perfectly rolled gear that’s unrealistic, but that’s a variable I have to eliminate for a fair test.
For the record, the letter tiers of my tier list are just so people don’t complain that it’s not a real tier list. I try to be transparent about my testing method in the document so people don’t get the wrong idea.

Yea I thought so.
Yea think that is skewing the numbers and some builds it’s harder to attain these good rolled items. When I see erasing strike I don’t see a world where it is ever close to a snap shotting beast master. It’s about half the damage. 99% of players playing erasing stike do 20-40 million Dps. I’m sure there are some doing 50 million. Just not anywhere close to Beastmaster.
Since when they make the build they are accounting for defense and trying to get some offense. So they have an LP 2 and 1 offense stat and likely 1 defensives or LP 3 and 1 offense and 2 defense. Where anyone snapshotting isn’t doing that at all. They have 2 sets of gear so their numbers are twice as high.
I just was trying to get the paper to match up with what we likely would see when people play the build. I do appreciate the list though it’s a fun project and gets people thinking about what to play.
I’m playing an Auradin aka Consecrated Aura. I’m doing what I feel is S tier Dps around 20 million. People said it wasn’t a bosser so I started scaling it to prove them wrong and been really happy. Kill T 4 Julra in 3 secs, reg Abby 25 sec.
I’m now mostly working on defense but in reality I could more than double my Dps with different gear/skills. It’s just not something I’d realisticallly try to do for the build. I would like to get a nice Julra ring though from turtle and see if I could work it into the build and do 25 million dps…
