It would be most helpful if you could implement a ‘shift’ modifier for the tooltip comparison to compare items for the offhand as well as mainhand. This should of course, also apply to rings.
I noticed that the tooltip comparison is a little buggy as it sometimes compares a relic with my amulet.
Also the tooltips completely obscure the inventory items which makes it very awkward to navigate the inventory.
Could I also add that I would like an option to disable the tooltips comparing items when you hover over them? I find that, in the heat of battle, most of my screen becomes obscured with tooltips because something that died dropped an item- but I still have their many, many friends to get through and now I can’t see any of them.
Perhaps an option to only pop them up while your inventory is open, or something like that.
You can turn the ground labels off with Z (or X, I can never remember) then turn them back on again after combat has finished. Also, items auto-comparing is an option you can turn off, though that wouldn’t stop the tooltips from popping up & telling you what the item is.
How do you turn off the auto-comparing? I don’t mind seeing what’s on the ground so much, but when the auto-comparison brings up the extra window with my gear in the middle of a fight, that’s where I have an issue.
There’s a toggle for that in the Gameplay tab of the in-game settings.
