The Shade Of Orobyss is way to easy?

How easy he is depends on what you get and that’s going to be a little odd while we’re still learning all of the abilities he brings to the table. Most of them haven’t been too tough to read and beat, but then I got the bleed one and couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t stop losing health. Too late, I realized it must be the add, who was red in a sea of red and therefore tough to tell he was there at all.

Play until Monolith 500+ and then attack him, should scale quite well (just a guess on my part - I’m not that far yet either).

I’m having a blast in those echos! Get clipped just once in the dead zone by all 3 and it’s game over lol, I love it.

Orobyss does get pretty tough when you run a streak for a while and then take him on. I think that’s one of the cool things about this boss besides the insane amount of variations. We the player have been give the control of how difficult to make these fights. In that way, it’s also easy to showcase an easier fight and give the impression that it’s a breeze.

Ah oke thats great to hear  i gonna ramp it up then certainly
Its good there is something for both players. I just feared that there wouldnt be a challenge for more experienced players with really good characters.

How corrupted was your echo when you did fight the shade? I really hope your not right and that there is actually a way to make it challeging

I am also very disappointed that the shade seems to be more of a mechanic everyone has access to and is able to beat, rather than a difficult endgame boss.

It makes sense in the system, but I really do hope that we eventually get some super difficult endgame boss at some point.

It depends on his abilities. One of the most annoying I’ve encountered is called Circle of Death.

It covers the whole map and hits in rings starting from the outside then middle then inner circle.

Once you’re used to it it might be fine but there’s a hidden mechanic that you probably will grow to hate. If you have any missing health after it’s over you take massive damage. If you’re less than half you’re dead. If you’re less than a quarter you might still be dead so you better hope you have the potions to help you live if you got caught in one of the explosions.

But that’s exactly why they made it, as a mechanic to allow monolith resetting. If they’d made it as a Shaper/Elder end-game boss for the 1% then it wouldn’t appear in the normal monoliths & they’d likely have it spawn a lot less than it does at the moment.

Yep, i thought this was the end boss that everybody would chase and focus on to measure how good your build and skills are. And also one that would have some chase items.
:frowning: but again it makes sense but still to bad.

Come on now, shaper elder isnt for the 1%. That fight isnt to hard if you practice a bit
You even have uber elder, thats more likely for the 1%. At the moment i think its way more then 1%. But maybe thats my thinking because i can do them myself since a while.

It doesnt change the fact that LE is missing a boss like that.

Not sure what you mean. You can fully avoid any damage from that ability.
Just wait for the outer or middle rings to explode and then go where it exploded to be in a savezone

I’ve only gotten the timeline I’m working on up to 126. It means new timelines have 30 stability on the first hop, which is nice, and has made my Blessing runs a lot shorter. I don’t know if it was the latest patch or simply part of the mechanic but I’m finding very few +corruption Shades and they are only +1. Maybe there is a level which is harder to achieve or just takes more time.

I can’t say I’ve noticed any real impact of corruption at this level while the rest of the mods are +100% elemental, +100 enemy damage etc all piled up.

I’m finding everything in the monos great fun and challenging when you go looking for trouble. It was just the Shade Echos seem not to be commensurate.

Deadly was always a mod I think everyone took (kamikaze yolo mod) and we’re really suffering from that with the spires  It has no effect on him though so there may be something there that is making them feel so different.

I think the corruption modifier is a more health/damage? Just like the pre-0.8.2 empowered effect.

That’s what I meant in that it’s fine once you’re used to it. What will come as a surprise is how it does missing health damage after it’s over and will one shot you if you’re less than half health.

From all of my shade fights I did (and I did alot) that never happened to me.

Sounds like a bug.

My main character even is a LowLife build, so if this is a “hidden mechanic” I would have discovered that at the very first fight, where he had that ability.

Huh, well it happened to me. Was super frustrating too. I just thought it was a ridiculous mechanic. Now I’m both glad that it’s a bug and not some super unfair mechanic and mad that it happened to me.

I could see a non-shade version being an optional end-game uber strength boss. They could make a chance for the shade of Oboryss to spawn a portal to Oboryss himself. Would be kinda like PoE’s Abyss thing.

I will point out that Shaper/Elder in PoE is 1% or less. Most players don’t even get to red maps. Non-casual players severely underestimate the number of casual players.

How about that u go back to PoE and play there? Since u like it so much i dont see point u play here.

Maybe you should reread what I wrote. My point was the opposite of what you are assuming it is.
