It’s because the devs forgot to add the turkish time format into the game.
Turks do not use 01/10/2026. They use 01.10.2026 which had never been a problem before this patch. Devs, please fix this; because literally NOBODY from entire world that has Turkish time settings in their windows can launch the game due to this (.) and (/) difference. Please note that changing “Only” the time format fixes this which leads me to believe that this is a formatting problem and not a time zone problem.
game gets stuck on loading screen. there was another game that had the same issue so i thought that might’ve been it. turns out chosing “English(EUROPE)” was the only solution to get past the infinite loading screen when you launch the game
edit: it could’ve been anything else as long as it is not a dot (.)
how did you change time and date settings ? my windows options doesn’t have any change from “.” to “/” or any other way. some people are saying changing windows’s language to EN(US) works but i have single language edition i can’t change it
It wouldn’t be because of a formatting difference (. vs /), that isn’t how datetime info is communicated between clients and servers. It absolutely might be a missing or incorrect time zone code for Turkish, with the server not knowing how to handle an exception on the lookup. Changing the time settings is still the correct workaround, just FYI that it’s not due to . and /
Thank you for teaching an IT specialist about computers, I’m not trying to argue with you, I’m trying to find a solution for the players that have still not solved the problem.
edit: just logged in with turkish date time format in windows. The servers seem in general clunky tonight and I had it hang a few times on english datetime too. That’s why I’m saying it conceptually doesn’t make sense, because formatted dates and times do not get transmitted across packets or OS api calls. Formatting is a transformation of existing data that is passed around in a common format.
