The game inherently favours high attack speed for many mechanics like ailment and shred application. Suggestion: slower builds should be balanced around their attack speed to compensate

Yea, any changes need be tuned/designed so it is not simply a powercreep buff. Thing like ailment only stack once and each attribute is +20%mod. Or other creative solution.

True, but percentage-wise, I expect the breakeven point is quite high for att speed. Also, that is just looking in isolation since att speed can add more effects such as more shred, more other ailment etc. Ie it is the OP-er stat.

Absolutely, especially since you’re likely to have a lot of increased damage while attack speed is comparatively hard to come by.

Yes, but don’t forget that the attributes have a defensive benefit as well and would affect the applying hit (as attack speed does indirectly by allowing you to hit faster).
