Thank you so much. It looks very interesting. I just do not understand gathering storm in there. Are you triggering it somehow?
Yes,
So for context, this was not built as a support build, but it just happens to have screenwide AOE healing, thorn shields for your minions and party, HOTs, ailment cleanse, and other buffs for your party, etc. etc.
The playstyle is, cast gathering storm from a distance (with a staff) to build up 2-5 storm stacks, then switch to Spriggan form and start summoning minions. The storm stacks from gathering storm will automatically cast storm bolts at all enemies nearby, and your minions will keep adding storm stacks every time they attack. The minions will generate 20+ storm stacks for you at all times, so you never will run out. It works like an engine, you start the engine up, and then your minions take over and keep it running.
The reason it plays that way is that this build is really focused on DOTs for damage, and every ‘hit’ (storm bolts, thorn totems, vine minions, spirit thorns) all proc your DOTs on hit. So basically I tried to achieve the maximum amount of hits per second, to apply the most DOTs possible. Gathering Storm is a great way to achieve this.
It’s a very fun playstyle to me, because it requires a great deal of attention to maximize your damage and healing. It’s not a mindless playstyle, it’s a keep an eye on all your resources playstyle.
Ah okay! Sounds very nice. I will test it out. Thank you so much!
