Smite skill - righteous flurry buff not showing

When I use smite (with 5/5 in the righteous flurry node) on an enemy, I do get the attack speed buff, but the buff isn’t showed in the left-bottom part of the screen so there is no way to know if the buff is activated except looking at your dps.

Lunge with the initiative node shows a buff logo at the bottom-left, so smite with the righteous flurry node also should.

Yeah, Righteous Flurry/Fury don’t have a buff icon, it’s not really a bug but certainly feedback.

We selectively show buffs that we feel have an impact on gameplay decisions. The situation we are trying to avoid is having a buff icon show up for every single little thing. This would end up causing buff icon overload and would make them less useful. We are adding in several more icons for various abilities each patch and will continue to expand it. I don’t think this one was added as it is deterministic and isn’t overly impactful on gameplay decisions.

Agree with OP.

I am not a big Sentinel player, but i have to agree with OP.

Smite has baseline now cooldown and you sometiems solely use it for the attack speed and flat melee fire damage buff, which only last 4 seconds.

Regardless of if you cast smtie directly or use some other means of keeping this buff up, if smite is NOT for dealing any damage, you definitely want to use it every 4 seconds to keep the buff up, but not more often than that.

Kinda with Mike on this one. There’s not really any interesting decisions you’d be making since you’re most likely to have automated Smite in your build (via the Smite on throwing attack idols & the Axe Thrower passive).

I think that assuming what is going to be in a build is a slippery slope. Would you change your stance if those idols/passives weren’t in the game?
