Skill Shrine Feedback

The new Skill Shrines are an interesting addition, but they come with some negative impacts as well as the buff you’re getting. I don’t know if this is intended but it may have more negative than you realized. I have died twice due to these side affects.

While the skill from the shrine is in effect, every time the skill goes off it takes a massive chunk of Ward, which eventually means you have no Ward for the rest of the shrine effect. That has personally left me with 60 HP to fend off death. I found myself fighting mobs with no Ward and only 60 health and died. This is a more severe impact when you’re using a key to do a dungeon.

I’ve never experienced that, what’s your build?

It’s a Necromancer with a single minion.

Are you using something like a Chronostasis that’s consuming ward on a melee skill use (and grabbing a melee ability shrine)?

Wow, you nailed it! I forgot all about that aspect of Chronostasis. Thanks! I’ll keep a watch to make sure that’s the only time it’s doing it, but I didn’t think so.
