The node in Shadow Cascade, Battle Trance, only grants the dodge rating increase when shadow cascade is manually casted. This buff is not given if shadow cascade is casted via the Shift skill.
This is intentional. The tool tip mentions you have dodge rating “while using” Shadow Cascade, automatic procs do not count.
