Season 3 Release Date Announcement

Ideally I would push this release to the Tuesday before GamesCon

The ARPG community is surprisingly small in total, that’s why you see posts about PoE in LE Forums, posts about Torchlight Infinite in PoE forums and posts about LE in D4 forums.

The same players play them all often, and some enjoy one type more then the other. Makes comparisons still happening often.

So we have the date and season trailer but when can we expect more infos on the content, new builds, builds adjustments, etc.? Seems a bit off but I’ll keep my fingers crossed for now.

i find it sad that undecember isnt even considered in many “d-like” lists. it’s decent and the boss battles can be nail biting. but its grindy/p2w madness.

Yes, because of the p2w madness.
People are sick of that, people are generally sick of any type of monetization which is not fully customer friendly and it becomes ever more severely visible.

That’s why I’m one of the few people even mentioning Torchligh Infinite… they got functional payments as well, hence p2w stuff. So despite it being a great game people avoid it heavily.

Yeah Undecember and Torchlight:Infinite are worth trying but I would never recommend them solely because of how P2W they are. Undecember also has a really long and boring campaign that you can only skip parts of by paying.

I would never return to Undecember if they did something about the campaign. And despite having fun I wouldn’t return to TL:I unless they removed the P2W pets. I’d rather play ARPGs where better drops aren’t locked behind a paywall.

if talking about game systems, i quite like TLI. After selecting a base hero, you’re practically classless. you could be a melee mage per se.

the base hero’s traits tho are too tailored towards a certain playstyle/class. you’d be a fool not to just optimize and avoid weird builds such as melee mage.

i actually defended TLI for a huge part. you can get very far in the game without the p2w pets. but it gnaws at me. making me feel unsatisfied that i cant “fully” optimize my build without dropping a gazillion bucks.

i would also add, maxroll actually dropped all coverage of their game as maxroll actually kept talking with the devs to remove the p2w aspect. XD kept giving “empty assurances” and finally maxroll had enough and just removed TLI from their site.

personally i would say its decent. but we expect more. the boss battles can feel very skillbased, but some bosses just feels unfair.

besides the p2w aspect you NEED to drop 100usd or so just to cover all the QoL upgrades.

as for the rune system… its crazy. to fully upgrade a rune as a f2p player, it may take what? 1-3 months?

XD also lied, and had content creators lie, about the P2W nature of the game right before launch. They work hard every season but they are still a chinese company with chinese values in the gaming sphere.

initially when i first played it i saw the basic “pets” vs the premium ones as “generic benefits” vs “specialized”

but later i realized thats not too accurate. if u dump a lot of cash and get level a pet to the max you get so much benefit. also, having specialized pets in itself meant you could get higher stats where it mattered more easily rather than if you didnt p2w.

i want to love the game but i simply cant because of the p2w nature.

That was a juicy one, traveler!

I hope there will be changes in the loot filter for custom sounds, we need dopamine overload

Looks Great

Very Nice

Poe should honestly be a banned word in game and the forums, so tired of seeing it.

So you wouldn’t want to see any contrasting & comparing LE with other arpgs to improve it?

randomly bro have you tried forcing anti aliasing off (do it in card settings as i found it went back on sometimes)? Give it a jam, I know you said low settings but often people dont tinker with AA, i couldnt throw traps without stutters, turned it off smooth as silk

Don’t wanna be that guy but if you know you don’t have a lot of time because life happens just pick one character and finish that one, it’s dumb to start many different characters when you know you’ll not be able to finish a single one of them

The journey is the most fun part for some people, even though they don’t reach a certain point in progression.

LE has one, if not the best progression and pacing in terms of skills, passives, power out of all ARPG’s in my opinion and leveling a character is always super fun, because there is always the next thing ahead of you that you will unlock soon.

Also sticking to one character can lead to upgrades and progress getting much slower, because the later in progression you get the longer it takes for most upgrades to happen.
So if you have little time, playing new and fresh characters can feel better from a progression standpoint, because upgrades and unlocks come much faster.
