"Rare Maces" reward echos can drop at least one axe base (Bone Scythe)

Echos with the reward “Rare Maces” can apparently drop a Bone Scythe (2h axe) in the reward crystal.

Not sure - Devs would have to confirm - but Axes Maces & Spears tend to be lumped together in Unique reward chests/echos… So perhaps this is the reason - the same coding has been carried over from the unique reward echo just changed the rarity…
