Quest: To Shell With It
After talking to Pearton in The Coral Pools, my quest tracker updated to find the 12 eggs and 5 meat. I got to 2/5 giant crab meat and then stopped getting updates. Egg tracker worked fine up to 12/12 and getting flagged as completed. I killed every giant crab in the zone.

TP to Lagon’s Isle to reload the pools zone and keep killing, at which time the quest tracker updated to the step of returning to Melvern in Thetima. So I was getting credit for the meat from the kills after all, guess just a display issue.

Leaving the zone and then returning to it should allow you to properly progress the quest. We’ve got our eyes on this issue internally.

Had the same thing, and yes, leaving the zone and returning immediately cleared it for me.
