I am in agreement here. I am not interested in anything offered by a cycle, and in fact the concept of starting a new char without my 3000+ hours of item, shard and gold wealth that I’ve worked so hard to build up is horrific to me.
I just hope the devs stick to their plan of moving cycle content to legacy fairly reguarly. The day that ends is the day it is time for me to move to another ARPG. Not a threat (as if the devs even care) just a practical necessity.
Yeah, other than the ‘drinking castor oil’ fortitude to just sit down and do it. 4 hours seems reasonable if you’re not interested, at all, in what monos you select, aren’t chasing any items or crafting anything.
That is a major deal-breaker. I have a ton of stuff I wanted to give away. Even have a bunch of people I’ve met waiting for them (Squirrel hats etc). Long-term how am I even going to know what I had before 1.0 and what I’ve picked up after? I have 50+ tabs of items.
You can still give them stuff. Just play with them for a bit and you’ll get resonances so you can gift them the items. You just can’t trade them via the bazaar.
These are not friends or even friend-listed, they are just random folk I’ve met in chat for various reasons and wanted to help them out. I am talking around 30+ people. How long will resonance take to build.
Seriously it feels like we’ll be trading under some oppressive dictatorship. So many dumb rules.
I don’t think there are details on resonances yet. But I don’t think they’re intended to take too long, though it’s probably on the lines of 1h+, I’d guess.
All they’ve said is that you’ll need to play together for a “decent” length of time without putting any value on it, which is something I personally would be hesitant to do given the lack of data.
True, but it would have to be a value that is comfortable enough that you can give items to friends regularly, but not so comfortable that it makes RMT easy.
