Please do a Mid season nerf patch, a .5 seasonal ladder

The same place as the poll about whether we want EHG to go titsup & the servers to shut down & not be able to play LE again.

In the same place as the poll for having polls that we have no intention of acting on =p. Based on that bit of tongue in cheek, you might correctly guess that we don’t put out polls we have no intention of acting on – In this case, because we can’t. The change in model wasn’t a choice, but a necessity to continue operating. It was both needed and going to happen regardless of any acquisition or not.

You can’t? Why not?

Oh so little money left?

From what I quoted I guess much more will be needed in the future… right?

I think we’ve been pretty clear the decision was made for financial viability reasons, yes. I’m not positive why you’re presenting this question, if you could please clarify.

This is a bit of a leap. If the feedback that we need more and better MTX is correct, then as we continue to build our MXT library and improve our systems to create better MTX the opposite would happen. I’m not sure where you’re inferring from this that we would need to continue making our model more aggressive just because a past model failed. The closest analogy I could think of is assuming that a fire is going to burn hotter in the future because it was on fire in the past and was extinguished. Again, could you please clarify your reasoning behind this? I may be able to provide a better answer to help clarify any misunderstandings.

Because you haven’t switched yet to any form of visible action for the player where we can see the shift to a new system and that being proven to be functional?
I know the questions there were not nicely formulated, but with this there is a clear point.

The issue is this analogy is wrong.
You guys had a fire and didn’t know how to use the waterhose to put it out.
So you gave it to someone else.
And because you did you now state ā€˜it’s out’.

Don’t misconstrue it here… the fire is still burning, we’re still in the middle of the raging inferno and we cannot see yet if it’s actually gone out as there’s loads and loads of smoke hindering our view.

Because let’s be entirely clear here:
Your model failed because you had several issues with your monetization.
Low quality.
Low quantity.
Wrong buying incentives (especially the supporter packs are badly designed).
Postponing a mandatory aspect to make your business even functional long-term from a business standpoint.

We don’t see any action regarding that yet. The MTX hasn’t significantly risen in either quality or quantity and the supporter packs have also not been redesigned to fix the glaring issues there.

The question rather is: What exactly have you done already to ensure more money flows into your game?
The console release is not a long-term business model, it’s another one-time injection like the release was. And paid classes are a very backwards model costing you likely a significant portion of your playerbase solely on principle.
Sorry to say… but until we see actual results as customers we cannot trust those statements.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to infer that it is already extinguished - you are correct. We still need to prove the changes. The question here was ā€œif we’re implementing this model as a solution, why would a solution being implemented make you infer that further solutions would be needed?ā€. If the thought is that any solution is going to fail and need more solutions, I’m not sure that’s very productive, or where a meaningful conversation could go from there.

Woah woah woah little pal, old champ. I was not arguing at all.

All I said in case it was not clear by the MULTIPLE times I said it in my very short post

FIX BUGS DONT NERF

FIX THE BUGS, DO NOT NERF MID SEASON.

Wait, that’s probably not clear - FIXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX THE BUGS BUT PLEASE DO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT NERF MID SEASON (in bold) (in italic) (in size 400 font) (written in blood) (sent via text) (punched with a stapler) (sent via carrier pidgeon) (sent via smoke signals)

If that isn’t clear send me your email I am happy to jump on a teams meeting with you and present a power point in which shall be one slide - FIX BROKEN SHIT (bugs) DO NOT NERF MID SEASON (this one might have a cute cartoon drawn with it)

Please do not try twist what I said into ā€œoh bro so you’re fkn saying, bro, like, bro dont do anything? Bro?ā€ (tried running that through chatgpt and it said sorry I don’t talk kiwi slang)

Any way back to point at hand - fix bugs that cause broken interactions and insanely broken dps or 1 shots but please do not ā€˜nerf’ a class mid season.

Was that clear?

I would just like to say on the topic of mtx of when and why I buy them. As an overall each MTX is 10-20$(cdn) if I buy the epoch points. Currently I am neither poor nor rich, and as a result I cannot justify that price point for just a visual item. I’m not saying they are overpriced or unjustly priced as you are not wizards(that I know of  ) and you cant poof new ones into existence and need to pay staff to make them. it’s just not something I can freely buy even if I think the MTX is awesome.

Whit that being said if you look at my account I have ā€œa lotā€ of MTX’s and that’s because of support/seasonal packs. Not only do I think these packs are more appropriately priced for the amount of items included. They also have additional epoch points within it of which have allowed me to buy a few MTX that are not bundled and I can pretend I got them for ā€œfreeā€.

Yes, and that’s exactly the point.
Supporter packs have been in this form introduced by GGG, their business system is ā€˜If you pay for 30 then you get the points for 30 and the MTX on top’.
That’s the quality deal there. Incentive for spending money for points.

In LE we have it different. ā€˜If you pay for 30 you get points for 15 and the other MTX costs 15 hence’.
That’s not a quality deal on the same magnitude. If we directly comprare it solely for competition basis then EHG has a worse deal simply.

I’m not a native english speaker but why I quoted you and to calirfy you sound much more desprate then needing a few extra coins to develop the game with the bloated dev studio you have right now.
First I understood you want to get some extra funds for some extra funds and what you wrote read more like it’s a make it or breake it situation.
That leap comes from this conclusion like you hope people forget what was said in the past and get used to paying.

Maybe that’s my 30+ year experience with gaming and I’m an optimist with a lot of experience.

Because you already stated and I take an educated guess from my past experiences and say you’ll do even more. I’m far from my ā€œOkay this guys are different and try to do something special!ā€ starting point when I began with LE. Now I’m in a ā€œmaybe EA is already taking notes?ā€ terretory.

I would compare it to a new restaurant. In the beginning the food was promising… a bit bland but promising. Then it went stale. Then some cooks used the wrong spices or no spices at all. Some people ate there out of habbit and defend but a lot of people have been confused a lot. Changing this by making the menue more expensive… god know what this will do.

Would be nice. Also as someone nagging the communication from EHG and where it was given I’m pleasently suprised to read you here and there is in the early past. Nice change of pace.

That’s actually a… surprisingly apt description of the current state.
