Options to toggle skill audio

I have been noticing multiple skills where the audio for them is super annoying… I don’t recall off the top of my head all the skills I’m referring to, but just started playing Acolte and the Wandering Spirits skill is awesome, but dang the spirits voices are super annoying, I don’t know how long I can use this skill because of it.

If not an option to disable audio, maybe change it so that it only uses the audio asset if it hasn’t been cast within a certain time, or maybe add a % chance that it will use the audio asset, or maybe only use audio asset once every few minutes.

I will try to add to this list as I come across them. If anyone else agrees and knows of a skill please make comment about it or make a new thread about a specific skill so they will see it. I think I recall thinking the same thing about the wolves howling.

Acolte

Sentinel

  • Juggernaut Stance (isn’t that bad I guess, but way louder than most)

Primalists

I made this post yesterday: Primalist Druid Thicket Blade Passive proc SFX is odd
About the passive node Thicket Blades for Druid Primalists that I would absolutely mute if I had the option.
Ideally the sfx will get another pass for some of these at some point rather than just being able to straight mute them (I don’t have a lot of experience with either of the two you listed), but some sounds are just genuinely jarring coming from the game at this point in time.

Ya that would be one I would add to the list, sounds like a helicopter. I just added a video showing the Wandering Spirits.

So, this is probably actually my fault. Sometimes a skill gets added without the SFX being set properly. We’ve got an awesome sound designer that is working his way through all the old sounds and making new ones too. There are a few sounds that are remnants of the past. I’ve linked this thread to him and we’ll take a peek at those.

Edit: just got word from him that they should be better for the next patch. It’s just that easy folks.

To add to that, anyone should feel free to make a post with sounds you think need improving (in a thread other than this one). As Mike said we’re working through all the old sounds, but it’s always helpful to have community input for which need work the most.
