…what the heck was I thinking?
Did you update the game? Exit the game, exit Steam completely, start Steam, start the update and play.
Thanks. I had to kill the steam process and restart. Cheers!
I did this and I am still stuck on log in with it just being very slow. Even the back ground it barely moving. I restarted steam and my tower from scratch. Same thing.
EU West unplayable for me, as is tradition
game stutters for me like crazy, even in the login screen. Never had anything like it, anyone else?
I just downloaded the patch, logged in (to EU West) and had no issues with lag or stuttering. But I didn’t actually play and was only at the bazzar, I just logged in for the MTX so I could go back to offline, so that might be why I didn’t have an issue.
I would advise you to submit a bug report. That way devs will have your game data to figure out what the issue might be faster.
done, let’s hope I get a reaction
Yep, getting the same problem. Although I’ve been having problems with this game since mid-July after the update then. It kept crashing my computer with a blue screen. Eventually, I kind of figured out a solution by playing at low resolution. This suggests a hardware problem, but I’m not convinced.
Even if I did have hardware problems previously, this new problem seems to be something different because it’s not just the graphics that are stuttering, it’s the sound too. And it’s constant and persistent, almost like the game can’t be run at all.
All these issues should be reported with the in-game bug report tool. Hardware is notoriously fickle and very hard to debug, often changing on a case to case basis.
After a crash (or big stutters, or whatever issue) submit a bug report and it will send the devs the game data so they can figure out what is going on.
It seems that some users have come across a solution in this post: Last Epoch Hotfix 1.3.0.1 Notes - #33 by Karukinus
I’ve downloaded the Visual C++ Redistributable from Microsoft, installed it, restarted my PC and now the game seems to be fine.
