If I remember correctly there should always be a unique to be used in the cache. After my run lvl 80, I got only exalted items after killing the boss and no unique. So I had to use another unique from my inventory but if I hadn’t it then it would be a useless run…
This isn’t a bug as it’s still under discussion by the devs.
Hm, ok. So I should always have something in the box to use just in case…
Unfortunately, the boss drops were not able to make it before the patch went live. We are hoping to release them in the next upcoming hotfixes. Sorry about that!
