Ah yes… you know, if you see someone thrashing a car you don’t stop that but instead say ‘yeah, it’s already broken anyway, too late!’
That’s kinda not how it goes
Number 1… but as usual EHG dropped a ball heavily. Ya know, the usual, used to it by now.
Accessibility is not always positive but can also be a net-negative. Too broad and without direction and it becomes stale for everyone. Major companies tend to fall into this regularly by now, that’s why ‘AAA’ titles are so disliked at times.
So… lemme get this straight.
You’re coming to a forum, hence a public space meant for discussions.
Then you dump something in but you don’t expect people to react to it and have a discussion actually?
Wouldn’t a E-Mail suffice to the devs then?
I mean… kinda beats the purpose. Or was it to show off to other people what you think? Validation? What’s the goal here?
Because if that doesn’t happen then you get a second ‘Star Wars Galaxies’ game. Look up what happened there, that’s the risk.
As a tldr: The game was released in a specific state, heavily re-worked regularly with fundamental changes. Initially pulled in players left, influx of other player was lacking obviously as they got disgruntled after further major changes. After a while less and less people were willing to play as the game could change at any moment. Then it went slowly under and got sold in 2005. The new publisher revised the complete system from the ground up, instead of 30 classes… 9… instead of free skill-choices based on ‘you become better in what you do’ a level-system and railroaded. Shortly after the game went under, lack of direction.
That’s the risk, that’s why people argue about it.
Also specifically about this.
If it’s energy wasting for you… why do you engage with it?
The system itself in such a state was a problem.
But CoF needs better conditions, absolutely. Overall the game needs more distinct target farming and better progression curve. Nothing against that.
This system that was there? Simply a broken mess, a bug. That’s not the solution. The core issue existing is just simply that distinct that a broken pile of crap looked more shiny then the actually intended case.
Exactly.
You don’t. I tested it out earlier with a lower rarity item. It substantially increases drop-rate. Then I went and rushed content for a exalted item in it, also dropped still, wouldn’t have gotten it as easy otherwise.
Uniques will be likely less targeted, but my guy… CoF got the prophecy system to target unique types for a reason, that’s a extremely powerful target-farming method compared to anything MG has.
It’s game breaking.
Ruining the whole of MG, hence the ‘intended 50% of players’ experience is ‘game breaking’.
What are you even talking about that it in any way wouldn’t be?
And also it wasn’t voted ‘game breaking bugs’ but ‘bugs’
And as @F0lk provided the quote, item factions are not even included.
