Just wanted to thank you for taking the time.
Others have responded in my stead and generally covered the points I wanted to make.
All the best.
I would prefer it if companies do not expect me to run three to five apps and subscribe to multiple sources (joining your discord server as a form of subscription).
One Company/Product = one centralized source for what is even remotely an announcement regarding your product.
That is respecting your customers, contrary to make them dance around multiple platforms and wasting their time checking everything.
If your concern is for people considering old information as recent - put the date in the title, make it as obvious as possible.
Newsflash: December 11th 2025 - Detailed Roadmap Coming Soon
If your concern is data crawling AI: Stop posting on any public location like bluesky, reddit, forums, steam pages etc. and stop your users from ‘mirroring’ your discord announcements in the forum, because those announcements might find their way into this forum or reddit, anyway.
To me it sounds like you are overvaluing the AI results. Yes it is here to stay but currently these systems are not reliable for almost anything. I don’t think there is much value in trying to deal with those compared to having a good relationship with your community through communication.
Please don’t limit the designers having those conversations (as long as they don’t spoil things that should not be spoiled or break some kind of NDA or something like that). It helps build the community and makes you less company and more human.
I remember the time I was knee deep invested in a TTRPG called Exalted. Back in the day most communication was through the White Wolf/Obsidian forum, but sometimes the devs talked about their game on some other sites and had some very interesting conversations outside the official forum (but with their “official” dev identity). It was like 3 to 5 different sites / social media platforms. So similiar situation.
A fan made a “dev tracker” fan site that tracked the official accounts of the devs on these sites and showed the newest posts aggregated to a single site. It worked very well and the community loved it.
Maybe something like this could be an alternative? No idea if possible with all the new APIs, Discord, Reddit, etc. and if it is worth the dev time, but having a single source collecting all the official information in one place (the site even had a filter function to focus on the posts of the different devs) would be absolutely awesome.
You do know you’re replying to a post in Announcements don’t you? And that’s the basis for necroing threads?
Sorry, meant only the news one there, was 2 AM in the morning already ![]()
But plainly spoken this whole category shouldn’t be ‘postable’ anyway. Or if they are then unlike the forum otherwise being forced to stay in position related to the post-timing.
Similar to for example news on Steam. They don’t change position because someone comments 3 years later either.
Another alternative would be to create a second thread in general, with a direct link to the discussion of the announcement/news being included at the end of the post. Connected hence but not interfering.
Which is why I said ‘it shouldn’t happen in the first place’. That’s a issue by itself.
Every topic in the “Bug Report” section gets closed after two month, every thread in feedback after three month.
You can’t necro’d what isn’t open.
That is a serious problem. Bug report after bug report is written, feedback after feedback, and there is no response from you, zero.
Still not supporting you guys anymore. You can type up your reasons all you want and how you’re not concerned about the competition, but the community shouldn’t stand for 6+ month long seasons (don’t forget you promised 3-4 months for seasons).
Not to mention, if this is your “best route”, then should we have any hope for the game’s future? I think this steam reply sums it up Looking Ahead in Last Epoch :: Last Epoch Events & Announcements
So in other words, you launched the game too early. Good to know. I shouldn’t have to remind you that you weren’t even on your second season for the game’s first anniversary. Now, not only are you saying you don’t have the systems to be on the 4th season in time for the second anniversary, but we can essentially expect only 2 seasons a year for the time being? What a joke of a game and studio you guys are. Seriously.
And who the hell are the players that said “hitting a specific short timeframe is not the answer”?
Since I have your attention, where the hell is Transmog? You mentioned it in your original roadmap, now it’s not even mentioned. Even if it’s a MTX, being able to customize your gear is kind of important. Especially since unique armor pieces STILL don’t have 3d models.
It took you until 1.3 to realize that? ![]()
It was obvious. Who releases a game without the finished campaign and expects everything to go ‘right’?
It was a massive red flag since 0.9 already and hasn’t gotten better since then sadly, actually worse. Scrambled decision after decision, no clear plan, roadmaps provided and thrown out again, delayed information, no information at all, lack of adjustments for freshly released content despite dire need, ill-advised reworks of mechanics which shift issues and provide no universal upside hence but use resources and time.
Anyone who expects at least miniscule quality.
The issue is… both sides are right here at once! And for both it sucks.
To be competitive you need to have a breakneck speed of release-cadence. But those releases also need to have substance. That’s extremely hard to achieve… but it’s what needs to happen to stay competitive in the environment.
Diablo people are non-stop coping since the D3 release, it’s the old-school customer base they still have, which at the budget demands from Blizzard is dangerously low. I’m sure the product makes a profit… but plainly spoken? Blizzard doesn’t have a fallback game anymore for PC either, they drive everything else into the ground. They have to stick with the half-crippled product they have for ‘something’. WoW gets severe backlash and numbers are dropping massively. Heartstone is a relatively dead game by now as nigh everyone left. Overwatch has been driven into the ground… heck… even Warcraft was dismantled by them. Heroes of the Storm is a failure, Starcraft 2 is ages old and brings no revenue anymore.
So we got only 2 PC market competitors left.
PoE and TL:I, all others are as half-crippled as D4 is, in some way or another.
PoE 1 and 2 have their major issues… but they go strong, there’s simply nothing available otherwise… which is why they can. Massive content drops, massive changes… not getting it right most of the time but you can see they do try to fix stuff and it feels like they’re dialing gradually - over long time periods - into content which feels great… even PoE 1 does by now despite atrocious new player experience.
TL:I on the other hand is just solid. You can like or dislike their monetization… but content-wise? They provide solid ones, they provide em reliably, they don’t try to shove their mechanics down the throat of players. All which people want basically.
Thanks for releasing the new roadmap.
I’m really excited! ![]()
I don’t know how the Rune of Corruption works yet, but I hope it can at least be used on Mirror Exalted items.
Otherwise, it’ll probably just get used a few times on junk items for testing. ![]()
It should not. After “copy rune” item has zero FP
Depends if it uses FP, you can use it on unique items from reading the description and they don’t have FP so it may work on mirrored items.
It does say that it prevents it from being crafted further, so it appears that it may use all the FP just like the Rune of Creation.
It could well be the case. I do think it’d be cool if we could corrupt mirrored items though.
Great game from great team
ok nice.
I don’t care what anyone else says, but for me, this game gives me happiness and fun, and that’s enough. I’m also looking forward to new updates, including paid character DLCs.
Yea I mean this game is the middle ground for me in regards to ARPG’s. It’s got a pretty some solid foundations of systems and not overtly complex like the Poe skill tree where you need a manual and encyclopedia to run through it. There just needs to be some consistent updates alongside keeping player-base with some season long mechanic.
I’d easily pay for stuff like a guild shared stash or even guild hideout.
So would RMT sites & that’s why it would likely never happen, also, MG.
