I’d like to create a LF for items with a single T7 affix on it. Zero other affixes than a single T7
My filter rule is on the top. I set my LF rule with advanced options to:
454 affixes (no idols)
With at least “1” of these on the same item
Equal to “7”
Total affix tiers of: Less than “8”
So I find T7 affixes, but there are also other affixes on that item. I thought that “total affix tiers” sums up all tier levels. So I just see “single T7” (yes they exist). But I still see T7 with 1 to 3 other affixes on the item.
So why do I get an item with more than one affix? For example: T7, T3, T2? Shouldn’t the sum be “12” (7+3+2) and therefore “not be less than 8” like I defined?
It seems weird to me you used “less than 8” instead of “equal to 7”. It should mean the same in this case, but it’s odd choice
Anyway, i tested such rules on T4 and it is BUG. I set 430 affixes, at least 1, individual affix equal to 4 and total equal to 4. And it correctly shows single T4, but also T4 + T3. Therefore BUG.
I lowered number of affixes to only 2 and it’s still bugged.
“less than 8” was just for testing. I did “eq to 7” aswell.
I guess their code is wrong. It seem that Inside the rule the advanced options are combined through an OR instead of an AND. so the filter rule always matches when a T7 is found on a item.
Would be weird. Even if I only use the second option I would then find stuff like "T1+T1+T1+T4 " (7) which also equals 7. But maybe the intention was to combine that with a second attribute like “type=relic”.
I’d like to know your opinion why it’s “bad”? Always looking to improve myself (and my filter).
For a better understanding. I think single T7 items are really good. They are a good base for crafting (OK, you need luck with crafting potential updating 3 other affixes) and if you find that strong T7 you need, you have the item to go for your 1 LP legendaries/uniques.
Adding a affix to a item does cost a lot more FP than Upgrading from T1 to T2 or from T2 to T3.
Rerolling with a Glyph of Chaos has 10-15% chance to hit the desired affix on some item bases.
5-10% for a few others. Only Class specific Slots for prefixes are really eally unreasonable to Glyph of Chaos.
On top of that sealing T1 affixes on exalted items is guaranteed and even sealing T2 has 69%chance. So on T7T1T2T2 items for example you can reroll undesired affixes and/or glyph of despair one to make room for desired affix.
If you still show other exalted items I don’t mind having this rule. But hiding all other exalted would be bad and you would miss out on A LOT of potentially good exalted items.
Why would that be the case? You’d still have to put 3 other affixes on the item for it to be LP craftable. And roll them to T5 so the legendary doesn’t brick with a T1 affix.
I personally think a natural drop with T7 + 3 T4/5 is much better for crafting than an item with only a single T7 affix.
If all the other affixes are already T4 or T5 those Exalted Item are usually pretty bad, because they have more often then not unsynergistic affixes and with those high other affixes you have very bad chacnes or sealing or rerolling.
So T7T1T1T1 is usally the best

Didnt know that you need 4 affixes. Thanks. So you are right, the filter getting more and more useless
I really don’t know, but judging by this statement alone (“you have the item to go for your 1 LP legendaries/uniques”.), it seems like OP thinks it’s possible to LP craft an item with less than 4 affixes on them, which is not the case.
Learned it the hard way… Before trying to craft any legendary, I thought I had to find just what he wants: an item with a single T7 affix to guarantee it on my 1LP unique item. Found it, just to get frustrated, having to put 3 other affixes on it for the forge to work.
If you layer multipel rules correctly you can theoretically achieve whatever you want.
With layering multiple rules correctly you cna do A LOT of stuff.
Like having items have any one resist and hybrid health, but not two resistances as suffixes.
Having items a specific exalted affix, but also having a certain other affix on at least tier X or total affix count etc.
Explaining this would probably detail this thread, but if you want to know it and don’t know how to achive it just ask away.
