i will back you up that just having a bunch of crafting fodder (dbl/trip/quad 7’s) is “meaningless” until you craft with it and that is a huge RNGesus luck pull then u got RNjesus for Slam (gotta ask a diff man in sky for help dont wanna tax just one)

The crafting part is the hard bit, right? Like quad 7777s you literally have to redemption which is based on % reroll stats, I’ve never seen a quad with 4 stats I’d use, generally 2 good ones , 1 average and 1 not needed lol. Trips are the same, super hard to craft but they obviously didn’t consider this they just think because you get 50 imprints its OP even though 45 are unusable for the slam you want.

They’re not. They’re happy with gear they get from other mechanics and the occasional imprint drop. They don’t feel the need to kill Uby or to grind 20k corruption.
Imprints are a mechanic for the sweatlords. The min-max crowd. Not for the average player and definitely not for the casual ones.
Much like corruption will be.
The amount of carries on Uber I’ve done for casuals and others have done the same - they do feel the need to kill him, they just dont have the ability due to less time playing the game. Since there are no stats on min/max vs casuals only stats on how many players start the new season and how quick it drops off I guess we’ll see when comparing this peak/dip from this season to last as to which players make up the majority of the base.
My feelings are already stated - still have a of friends still going hard for imprints right now trying to min/max, they’ll all be gone. Servers will be much more dead and anyone trying the game out wont have the help when they ask questions.
Also to say casuals dont use imprints is not true when there are always questions in chat about it from new and casual gamers all the time. How to slam, how to use imprints in the weaver tree, which maps to run, how to get more amber. Playing 10+ hours a day I definitely see a lot of this. Even “how to get more gold” I ran a guy through high corruption just days ago using false temple shrines and zerrick and got him just over 1 mill gold to respec.

I never said they don’t use imprints. I even specifically said:
What I did say was that imprints weren’t created for the casuals. They were created for the min-maxers.
Also, even in a game like PoE, most players are casuals. You can easily see that by checking the achievements and their completion percentage.

Imprints were fine, really the core issue imo was that people expected to get double or triple t6/t7 items. to do what with? Slam LP items?
We have way to much fucking LP, and way too much ways to get items that isnt from the ground.
I always understood the LP system as a mechanic to make low level uniques viable, hence the LP being relative to the level of the item as a general system(they tweak specific items obviously)
but people are literally taking level 80 items and getting 2-3 lp on them by bruteforcing it with all the item power creep we have gotten.
legendaries were supposed to be a way for unique items to keep up with exalted. but now I dont ever put an exalted on my body, I throw orange into every slot and slam the 100% t7 on there for free and dont sweat it.
The only reason people are upset about this nerf is because “well how do I get triple t7 to slam onto my 3lp now?”
which you never should have been doing in the first place. The imprinting for making more of a certain unique to fish for lp is mostly okay, but lp overall needs to be heavily nerfed.
And this circles back to “too much loot isnt ground loot”
We get all our “good” loot from nemesis, imprints, or prophecy. why do i care about loot on the ground when i can do echos for an hour then go print 300 unique rings? like what its actually comical how little the actual “playing the game” loot matters, all that matters is favor per hour so you can go print 300 of a singular item type.
tldr; this is like a small speed bump in the core problem of “we let LP/legendaries explode out of control, and now they are the only item that matters”

I don’t believe this is entirely true either. We literally had a conversation in discord yesterday in which an admin was saying “the devs dont expect you to get 777 items or get to 100k corruption” - if the devs dont expect 777 items then they would never have given imprints the chance to upgrade an affix from 77 to 776 or 776 to 777 which also loops around to guarenteeing a T7 slam and having open slots LP1 through to 4. Imprints is a mechanic to allow the ability for more exalted items to drop because they have not found a way to do that using the really poorly designed corruption mechanic of monos. Invan who hit 100k the other day said after killing a 100k shade he got a single Lp1 Siphon. He said he’ll be lucky to see 2 x 77 items in an echo at 100k. Mike himself said using a mere 5k corruption “that more exalted with more affixes drop at higher corruption” which is simply just not fundamentally true and the ridiculous fractional increases of LP chance and exalted chance at higher corruption is so small its almost non existent. I posted the difference between an lp3 siphon at L100 no corruption and 100k corruption and it was 1 in 256 vs 1 in 158 or 0.04 / 0.06% (probably forgot decimals) anyways SOOOOOOOORRY LONG WINDED REPLY THERE LOL - point is imprints are beenficial to ALL players not just min-maxers. It’s realisitically the only way to get good amounts of exalted to craft with the lack luster system because getting 1 in 100 nemesis towers or 1 in 1000 echoes is not realistic with the way crafting is. There is no other way. Poda also said in discord he ran like 12k echoes for X exalted multi tiers averaging out to 1 double 7 item per 600 echoes are a corruption much higher than the average player gets to, ever.

If you’re a new player, I honestly have nothing to say—you’re still learning and that’s fine. But I really don’t understand experienced players. The game is already very easy, yet people can’t handle even a little challenge.
I’m running almost all content without having perfect T7 gear (no full T7/T7/T7 setups), and everything still works perfectly fine. Mechanics are smooth, builds function well. So I genuinely don’t get why people are stressing so much about drops.
Playing Uber at around 500 corruption already feels kind of ridiculous to me. Why is the endgame positioned this low in difficulty? Honestly, Uber should be something like 5000 corruption if it’s meant to be truly endgame.
Otherwise, players will quit by day 2 of the season. The progression curve just isn’t there. Also, the corruption system itself feels pointless and like a waste of time.
When the game is this easy, people get bored fast and stop playing. You kill Uber bosses in 5–6 hours, and that’s it—the game is effectively over. At that point, you don’t even need corrupted items anymore.
Game finished. That’s all there is to it.

I mean have you killed uber? Ive not killed uber with 3k hours.
I simply dont play the builds that kill uber.
if you dont play one of the 10 builds that can kill uber, you can do 5k corruption without killing uber.
past 2 seasons ive gone to 1k corruption and couldnt touch uber.
So uber isnt really related to corruption at all. hell there is builds that can kill uber but likely couldnt even farm 500c remotely well as they are simply using some kinda gimmick that 1 shots uber but otherwise makes it so they cant farm at all due to lack of aoe.
“uber” in this game is a joke, and isnt a representation of a good build or not. As its designed in a way where its not “get enough gear” but rather “get the right build”

i killed uber 5k+ times. 50k+ corrp solo no exploit. 40k corrp with frogs from 0 corrp. what can i say more? without setups T7777 - max T77 or T76
You already said you’re not playing this season why are you even talking, lol. You played a meta ballista build too. I was running 800c on that build when I was level 78 it’s hardly what you’d call a skilled build even though you stuck with it and went to a high corruption (while complaining about the game having no end game you just kept playing end game)
