LE-51 Error After 0.9 g2 patch

Generally, you should include:
What went wrong?
Was playing fine until 0.9 F after the update yesterday.
I followed other threads and did just about everything they recommended from restarting Steam to deleting saved files nothing worked.
Get error LE-51 on start up, it appears to me opening the game kills my internet connection, i see discord and just about eveything else losing internet cannot open the forums or anything, and as soon as i close the game everything connect again. I have fiber i highly doubt this is a bandwidth issue, i play MMOS and other things with minimal ping.

I would appreciate some help i currently cant play at all!
Thanks!

Hi there

I just realised you are same person from this post: [LE-51] Error on Log in Screen - #3 by Jun_Var

I’ve added your files from the other post here to keep them together.
DxDiag.txt (152.0 KB)
Player.log (1.1 MB)

rgb errors

Your logs have got a lot of errors about RGB Keyboard integration

DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL ‘LogitechLedEnginesWrapper’: The specified module could not be found.
at EHG.RGB.Integrations.LogitechIntegration.SetLightingFromBitmap (System.Byte bitmap) [0x00000] in <00000000000000000000000000000000>:0
at LE.Integrations.RGB.EpochRGB.Update () [0x00000] in <00000000000000000000000000000000>:0

Do you currently or have you used an RGB keyboard?

If so, try unplugging it and using a normal keyboard. You can also try to turn off the RGB keyboard integration in the Settings menu (bottom the Gameplay options).

Network errors

Your player logs definitely indicate some network issues:

Ping: Error performing ICMP transmission. Possibly because of a timeout

In your DxDiag I can see some errors with network address acquisition

+++ WER1 +++:

P10:

netwtw10.sys is the Intel WiFi device driver. It could be a bug or a corrupt driver, so I’d recommend going and updating all those and trying again.

Tried both of those to no avail

rgb errors

I cant even get past the startup screen where it tries to connect so i cannot turn it off in the game options since i cant even get to the screen where that is an option, unplugged the keyboard altogether but that did nothing. Also I play on controller

Network errors

Reinstalled all the drivers, but that also did nothing. Still as soon as i open the game i lose connection to internet which comes back as soon as I close the game. I can only assume Its the game making them crash.

I was able to play prior to 9g patches after, the opening page is a far as i can get before an LE-51 error screen that lets me go no further and can’t even dismiss

Original post doesn’t mention this explicity.

Try deleting your graphics settings file – it should reset a bunch of settings. I don’t have an RGB keyboard so I can’t confirm if it is contained in that file or not.

If that doesn’t work, I think I found the setting in the Registry:

I generally advise against editing Registry settings as it is a really easy way to break things in your computer. That said, try the following:

  1. Press Windows+R
  2. Enter the command regedit
  3. Press Enter and acknowledge admin rights if you need it
  4. Navigate to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch
  5. Find the setting starting RGB_Enabled_
  6. Double-click it and set the value to 0

Let me know how you go.

Did it.
But nothing tried both ways, first edited the files; then deleted the file but neither, as soon as i Open the Game LE-51 error screen is all i get. An My internet imediately dies on the pc but as soon as close it come back.

You set that registry setting to 0? If so, can you upload a new player.log file. Might contain different info

Hey hey – another thing I thought of

Open this path

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Last Epoch\Last Epoch_Data\Plugins\x86_64

Do you see a file with this name?

LogitechLedEnginesWrapper.dll

Right-click > Properties – is it 12288 bytes?

If it’s there, try deleting it and repairing your game files again.

Tried that but no luck :frowning:
Even after 0.9h

Log file:
Player.log (30.7 KB)

Well, at least all the RGB errors are gone from the logs.

One thing I suggested to somebody else having similar errors in their logs was starting Windows in safe mode with networking and trying to play Last Epoch

This could give some hints as to whether there is some specific combination of software and hardware causing the issues.

Tried that too but that did nothing. (Obviously)

I know its a beta an all but if every other patch I wont be able to play that’s just disrespectful and a waste of my time and money.

Simply Put no matter how good everything else is a game you can’t play is a 0/10…

BTW you’d be hard pressed to make any programmer believe NullReferenceException are bugs in their computer and not the code of the game…

I can understand that it would be very frustrating to be unable to play. I certainly know that i would be frustrated.

That said, given so many people can play without this issue, it seems misguided to entirely blame the game or EHG on this one. In my professional experience, there are plenty of reasons related to hardware, software, your ISP and EHG service providers which could contribute to the issue.

Unfortunately, as just some guy on a forum I’m not in a position to provide the depth of networking troubleshooting that your specific problem might require to resolve.

Hopefully, an upcoming patch is able to workaround or resolve the underlying causes of the issue.

In the meantime, I hope you can find a way forward through the frustration and anger.

Well wishes and good luck!
