Last Epoch: Tombs of the Erased Patch Notes

Umbral Blade Falconer was strong, and just Falconer, without a ballista, was normal. They decided to nerf Falconer, not this synergy. I didn’t like Umbral Blade, but now you can only play with Umbral Blade, everything else went to the trash. It’s a pity, I really liked just Falconer, without a ballista and without blades. Oh well, we’ll try something new, while Umbral lovers will continue to play their favorite strong build. A really strange nerf.

Encountering things which will kill me if I am not very concentrated (or even if I am) often enough. If not all the time, then at least something like once per 5 minutes. I mean not something which will kill me if I afk for 5 seconds, but actual treats.

So, is it possible that you’re overleveling in some zones ?

I’m usually 4-6 levels under the recommended level and I can guarantee that I often feel threathened (but rewarded by big chunk of exp). Is it something that you think you can try or you really want the game to tell you which zone you need to stick to ?

Yes, certainly it should be more fun for me. Are there some quests or other things I need to not miss or I can get all missing rewards later without coming back to the campaign?

Maybe will be more fun if I will avoid getting any res during campaign, so at least some things would be hopefully somewhat dangerous. That’s how I played Poe 2 campaign, felt more interesting to be punished for misplays.

Sounds amazing! Thx for your great work.

So hyped… Can’t wait.

The only thing you’re getting from side-quests in campaign are idol slots and passive points, and that is up to a limit (I think 15 passive points, but I don’t remember now). However… At the start of campaign side-quests are rewarding one or the other, while side-quests at the end of campaign more often reward you with both. What I’m doing early campaign is only finishing side-quests that I can access easily and beat easily, for example Erza’s Ledger quest, and just skip all that require me to side track, like The Lesser Refuge (this one gives 2 passive points, but requires you to run 2 [or maybe even 3] full areas). After that, when I’m nearing the Lagoon encounter I usually run back and do side-quests that reward both passive points and idol slots. But then again, I hardly ever finish campaign, and go straight for monos when I’m around level 50, and feel decently about my character.

PS. In case you didn’t know, you can see what rewards side-quests are giving you when you press SHIFT on the map view.

PS2. Why I’m not finishing campagin? Because I did it multiple times already, and to be honest the reward (1 point to every attribute) is just not worth the time investment, when I could be blasting monos for the entire time I would take to run the campagin areas.

If I will ignore all of those, I will not get them anyway later in the endgame, right?

In campaign you will. Read the entire thing please. xD

TLDR - You can only get limited number of passive points and idol slots from side-quests. Side-quests later in campaign reward both idol slots and passive points, as opposed to one or the other that early campaign side-quests give. Ergo, its more efficient to skip early campaign side-quests and focus on late campaign ones.

No, I mean after campaign. I have read that I can get them faster later in campaign, just thought maybe I could completely ignore them there. I vaguely remember some things about dungeons or something and get those things from there or something like that, but probably just didn’t remember it correctly. I played LE before those things appeared there.

Unfortunately, you must get them in campaign. However… You could just blast monos until level 100 and then just do the side-quests very, very, very quickly.

Why wasn’t the damage effectiveness of Harvest increased along with the many other skills that did receive small buffs?

Sadness.

Rest of the patch looks phenomenal though.

I just hate go back to campaign overleveled when it feels like completely meaningless clicking and watching monsters dying. Though “very, very, very quickly” sounds quick  I guess I will get those which will look easy to get during campaign and if will not get enough but will enjoy the game, will come back later.

Falconer came out and it was OP as hell. Most skills got absolutely nuked by as much as 80% and everyone said the class was cooked, it was still OP as hell. Now it gets nerfed again and this time everyone is once again certain the class is dead lulz.

What I’m doing is picking up all side quests that I find, and just look at the map from time to time to see where they are. If they are in the same area that I will be going through for campaign sake, I will pick them up. If they require me to go to another area - I skip them. With the only exception being Liath’s Tower, as that area takes like a minute to finish, and it gives both a passive point and (I think) 2 idol slots.

Hey EHG, great patch, cant wait to play and buy some MTX to show my support. Since I saw the burning daggers buff i’ve been theorycrafting it and noticed that the base damage for ‘Burning Daggers Cone’ from the Firebreathing node in the Cinde Strike tree still has a base of 16. Just wanted to let you know in case this is a bug.

GG EHG!

I hope no dupes this time

Be lying if I said this season didnt look good. particularly after the let down that is Poe 2 (which is good if not for the trash tier servers and desync.

Arcane Current spark charges now only works with Static Orb. Makes me a bit sad.
Was it too strong or was this a performance thing? I do remember it being a bit rough on the performance.

I’m generally really happy about these changes, but the fact that Harvest got nothing but a new sound effect and visual… that makes me really sad. It’s gotta be the worst skill tree in the game.

I’m excited for this
