The game just crashes.

Edit: tried verifying game files, reinstalling and creating a second character to fix it.

When you create the second character, does it work?

If the second character works fine, then it should be something in your first character save file.
You should go to “C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch\Saves”. In there you should identify your character save (if it was the first one it should be the one ending in “_0”. You should have 2 files. One without an extension and another with a bak extension.
Either delete the file with no extension, or move it somewhere safe or rename it to something else. Then rename the .bak and remove the extension.

If it didn’t solve, you should instead find the “STASH_0” file and do the same thing (delete/move/rename and rename the bak to remove the extension).
It’s not likely you’ll need to do this for each tab, but if necessary repeat this process for each of them.

Deleted all my old characters, did as you suggested with every backup even the global one, same problem.

Not sure how to further help you, then.
Does the crash also happen if you launch the online client? Can you play online? And what about the fake offline?

If it keeps crashing in both modes, I would suggest submitting a bug report using the in-game tool from login screen (which I understand you can get to) after a crash.
Otherwise, your best bet would be to open a support bug in https://support.lastepoch.com

The problem with the stash is still relevant. The game freezes for a few seconds every time I interact with it.

OK, I found a fix on Reddit by u/Nagisan:

Here’s a somewhat technical guide on how you can fix your characters until the game is fixed:

  1. Browse to save directory (\AppData\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch\Saves)

  2. Find the correct character (open up the extensionless CHARACTERSLOT... files in a text editor and search for your character name)

  3. Create a backup

  4. Find the savedItems section of the JSON (you can copy everything but the EPOCH text at the beginning of the file into a JSON formatter if you want, it should work fine with formatted JSON but I haven’t tried it)

  5. Find the item with container id of 2 ("containerId": 2) - This is the equipped helmet slot

  6. Move the helmet to an available space in your inventory:

  7. Change the containerId to 1 (1 is your inventory)

  8. Change the inventoryPosition to a space that does not conflict with your other items

  9. Save your character - you should be able to open them again and the helm should be in your inventory. You can re-equip it and continue playing normally.

  10. If you broke something, that’s why you made a backup.

Thank you for trying to help me, the frog helmet causes the bug as of this patch and you have to unequip it before logging off.

Glad to see you got it fixed and managed to play.
I don’t have that helmet yet (focused on the reflect chest first) so I didn’t have that issue.

Hopefully they’ll fix it soon.

Easily reproduceable bug: Go to garden. Buy memory amber bag. Close shop. Open bag. Memory amber goes up. Port to Haven. Memory amber has been lost.

Same, I had to use the move helmet trick below then remember to take it off when I log out. This is stupid. Still no fix?

Offline in general is buggy right now, it seems i can play my offline characters if i login online and then play my offline characters that way, yet it appears now full offline is not functioning as of 11am MST, on August 25, now it might just be me. I gonna run a couple checks on my end to make it not the equipment im using to play the game with, but still annoying.

I’ve been playing full offline all day and I’ve had no issues.
What is your issue when trying full offline?

It just wont load to the character select screen.

Does your character use the frog helmet? If so, does the fix a few posts above by Cirvis help?

I think i fixed it i removed all my cosmetics and that appears to have fixed it

Good to know. It must be some specific one (or ones), though. I have MTX equipped and I have no issues.
There have been some bugs related to the new pets, were you using one of them?

I wasted over 40 horns and so many bones buying memory amber and then it was all gone…

Is everything doing more and taking less damage part of this? Cuz, it’s not fun anymore. I don’t play this game to kite monsters around the map while plinking for pennies.
