I just browsed through Steam reviews. Most are positives, but some are negatives. But reading them, I see nothing “hateful”. Some are rather negatives, some are strongly negatives, but nothing is hateful or violent. And even the most negative review rely on elements and not on feelings or hate.
But let’s come back to the OP.
Sometimes I use the translator and sometimes it is not well explained. What I meant is that despite the bad comments I am confident with the game.
This experience of going through an early access together with the community and together with the devs has been very good and every day I look for videos, reviews and follow the contents that the guys put on the forum to try to understand the purpose of the game.
did you try Masochist mode? or Hardcore? or both of them TOGETHER?
I bet OP is playing something ranged that avoids most of the damage. Go melee you will find your challenge right from the lowest levels where you will already be spammed by aoe & slams from every single mob in the game
Is this normal or masochist or whatever?
Don’t you think that almost all online games have become this? Even if the campaign was 50 hours or 75 hours no one is going to continue playing post campaign unless the endgame is tight.
I feel like it’s kind of balanced right now. The first 50 or so levels can be spent in the campaign and you will unlock enough to ensure you enjoy the class and want to continue.
The next 50 levels will be much more tedious and push your class/build.
I don’t mind the difficulty. I just hit 60 and have around 30 mono levels under my belt in total. The progression seems to be nice, it’s getting steadily more challenging and some of the uniques have actually been pretty nice.
My only issue is with the skill system. I like to try new builds and ideas and I don’t care for the idea of having to relevel them after respeccing. I’d rather pay gold or some other currency than have to lose 12+ skill points when switching things up.
I know the game is in beta so I am going to just try as many builds as I can. Right now everything seems relatively homogenized – basically just level your character and click skills and you can make your character work. Not sure if it’s a good or bad thing.
I’m a VERY new player though.
Have you ever tried releveling a skill?
When you respec you get some points refunded (you unlock your min skill level while leveling your character). So at a certain level you get 9 skillpoints back instantly. Also the process of releveling is a lot faster that the leveling of a skill for the first time. The required xp to level skills up gets adjusted# so you will get back to your level within a short amount of time.
