Yeah, I saw that too. Although the patch notes did say:

This was done to remove the burden of optimal on MG players feeling like they needed to level up CoF and use arena key prophecies to farm gold effectively

So there was some miscommunication of intent there.

I feel like the rank system was made with legacy in mind and not really a short cycle span. But we’ll see what EHG does about this.

I agree. Currently factions dont feel as if they where really ment for cycle play.

The sole place where it currently could be abused is through gold-usage gained from MG at lightless arbour while running CoF. That can be averted by not allowing the treasure from lightless arbour to be effected by CoF related systems though

Or what about having gold earned from CoF ranks and gold gained in the bazaar kept separate.

So u will end up with three gold stashes. The current one would still be a thing ONLY for gold not gained by factions bonuses or sold bazaar item.

This way gold earned via a favtion can only be used if ur algined with that faction

But global gold can be used in either

Yeah, possible but also a fairly needless complication of the game.

It’s already solved through other means entirely and doesn’t even need a lot of thought effort to handle going forward.
