It was confirmed during one of Mikes friday Twitch-lives. No announcement text on Season 3 yet so of course nothing found via search.
Mike confirmed it and it was also part of both roadmaps (the old one had the chapter being added in 1.2, the new one only had it as upcoming).
Don’t we already know this? We meet her out of order. We first meet her in the Imperial Era, but she first met us in the Divine Era
Does this assume she is the Oracle?
No, the Oracle is totally different as van be seen by the in-game models of Yulia & the Oracle.
Guess I don’t know when we met her then!
Yulia? She’s met initially in the Imperial Era where you follow her through to kill the Emperor & she then sends you back in time where you meet her Heoborea.
My mistake, I thought we were talking about Apophis?
Where? We never met her in the Divine Era, we only do in the Imperial Era.
Coming back she imagines we have the Lance but it gets never explained… which is likely Act 10-12 somewhere… maybe. But for now it’s open-ended and simply a plot-hole.
It could also lead to diverging timelines, meaning we don’t move backwards and forwards in time but instead move between multiverses so to speak. But also only lightly hinted that it’s a possibility.
Story-wise it makes no sense - yet - that she would imagine it, even if we can infer possible reasons.
Oh, ok, I could have misread the original posts & was thinking of Yulia (who we meet in the Imperial era then the Divine) rather than Apophis.
I think Arakasii is talking about Apophis/the Oracle, personally I’m not convinced that the Oracle is Apophis.
We meet her in the divine era right after the emperor and meet Heorot after the fight with Rahyeh
We meet her at the beginning of the game, don’t we? But then she vanishes (I think someone says she went to the north?).
Which makes it even weirder… why would she think we have the Lance then? Nothing pointed to it… ever. We’re wizzed off into ‘sometime’, so by the knowledge of the Divine Age we’re just gone for good.
I don’t really care about the story or the lore, but I know this thread exists, does it help?
Ahhh, now it makes sense. Since we travel back and are too damn dumb to tell her that in the future we’ll be there before acquiring the lance she gets screwed over by our incompetence, gotcha
Come on, we all know you can’t just zip around timelines and tell people things about the future! It’s “timey wimey” stuff!
SPOILERS ahead. I don’t know how to flag them as such.
The Immortal Emeror is either Grael, or some alternate version of the protagonist. Grael makes most sense, I think he even holds his weapon in a similar way.
Emperor’s Lackeys are your allies/mates (Zerrick, Yulia, Harton), so it’s either you, or Grael. Grael is also missing in Imperial Era.
Grael will probably reach to the “gift” of undeath to either stop Rahyeh, or kill Lagon.
Hard to say if he’ll do it voluntarily. Maybe it will be an Epoch accident, or one of the gods makes him an undead mockery as a punishment (and gets phucked in return).
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was never explained: those are their boss forms, so they may as well be like that for in-game reasons as bosses tend to be massive in this game.
Her 1st memory of the PC is him obtaining the lance in her homeland so she probably expects him to still have it
Does Apophis spread the void tho? She merely channeled it.
I’d assume the Emperor actually tries to tap into it.
Proabably. Remember that EHG already did retcons: the Oracle wasn’t a Nagasa IIRC in the past.
I guess it would make sense for Apophis to be the Oracle (after getting reformed and experiencing what Orobyss brings with him), the retcon was for a reason.
I’d assume no.
But by telling Yulia that she will be a remnant (or was it revenant?) we exactly do that…
Both forms symbolize their most important character theme and their traits. At least this is how i see it.
