How do we change our in game name? I'm confused, my char name doesn't show

I don’t even remember making my account name “SMOKESNUGS” but it’s an old one I used to use when I was like 17, however, I am 35 now and don’t really like the name… it was just a reflex type thing when I created it., and now I can’t change it in game…

When you open a ticket, there’s a category for changing account name.

I believe it defaults to your Steam acnt name? It did for me then EHG was able to change my LE acnt name.
However, iirc, that still did not change my forum display name so I opened a ticket again asking to change the display name you see here.

I know it’s not possible to change your actual Steam name, but EHG was thankfully able to change my in-game/LE name and forum name to match.

If you’re playing offline you should only have to rename all instances of the name in the saves folder.
If you’re playing online, I would assume you could also ask support, though I have no idea if they will do that or not (they would be flooded with requests all the time).

I made a suggestion thread about this.

You can go make another new one or simply reply to my thread. If there are enough people showing interest in a new option, EHG will more likely consider it.

A single thread with higher engagement and votes draws much more attention than a bunch of separate posts with just a few votes and comments, so it’s always better to engage with existing ones, if they’re still open.
