This bug ( Hidden Gems quest bug ) seemed to reappear on a newly created character. Stuck on “Defend yourself from the Imperial Assassins” with no way to seem to progress.
I was defending, killed everything around the guy and it didnt seem to progress. I left the zone and came back and now there is no quest marker or person in zone to defend anymore. But its stuck on this step.
Note, i fixed it by exploring whole map. Eventually a quest marker appeared where i needed to go (the quest lost its quest mark tracker). Was able to complete, but still bugged.
When the quest marker reappeared, was there an entirely new pack of enemies?
I think so. It was at the southern most location. I think I died when i first encountered it which might have bugged out the quest locator.
